I've never played it because I'm not really a fan of futuristic stories, I prefer the past, but the way everyone talks about this- maybe I'll give it a try.

You should! It's dirt cheap now. Although if you have the choice, get it for the 360. ME on the PC was right in the middle of EA's DRM debacle.

Saren was just too cool, a villain that was not evil for no reason but had a purpose and meaning to his evil ways.Also loved Matriarch Benezia the asari biotic.

EDIT: as for my crew it was Ashley Williams that i loved the most and well my character to that love to another level.lol, Then Kaiden Alenko but after his mishap i replaced him with Garrus.

I like Mass Effects story for it's shades of grey. Think about it, we're probably a virus to the universe compared to how the rest of the species acts in the bioware universe

It was most likely mind control but the fact that he wants to do it freely.

I agree, I can't think of an RPG I've ever enjoyed as much as Mass Effect. Including Fallout and Oblivion.

Unfortunately she was chosen to die in my game. I kept the other guy because of his strong biotic power and Wrex seems to have the combat muscle so she was expendable.

So cool how we played the same game but ended with a different crew at the end.. I really hope they take that concept even further in ME2.

Yeah I also chose to keep the other guy since he also had a high tech level and biotics. My team was usually Wrex and the Biotic guy.

Waiting till spring next year to play this game is just PURE TORTURE.ME1 is my best game this gen and if i may say i think its my best game of all time.It's the only RPG i have played 3 times and the only game i have bought twice(gave my copy to a friend and bought another for myself).

My perfect E3 announcement will be to hear Bioware announce a nov/dec release date for ME2.

I really can't wait for this game. The first one is one of my favorite games of all time. In fact, Bioware are simply one of my favorite developers, period.
KOTOR and Jade Empire are still two of the best experiences I remember having last generation. BTW, I hope Bioware make a Jade Empire sequel. I loved that game.

It is really nice to hear that they appear to have cleaned up some of the technical issues that plagued the first game, because those were some of its only negatives. The texture pop-in, screen tearing, and slowdown really were bad enough at times that it would slightly take me out of it for a moment.

I have a feeling Mass Effect 2 is going to be better in nearly every way. I can't wait to hear more about it at E3.

Yeah, it's nice to hear they're trying to address the few drawbacks. Although even with the tech difficulties, it's probably my favourite new IP of this gen. I'd love to see a new Jade Empire too.

I suppose that your choices in ME 1 (i.e. ashley or Kaiden) will carry over to ME2. In which case, Bioware is genius becuase people who want to change the outcomes of the second game have to buy or play through the first game again. Sneaky buggers.
