Electronic Arts has released a number of titles this year targeting gamer girls and Littlest Pet Shop Friends for the Nintendo Wii is one of the more recent ones.

WTP: Littlest Pet Shop Friends Review

In Littlest Pet Shop Friends, players take on the roles of a puppy and a peacock as they work to plan a surprise party for their new bear, who has just arrived in the city. The party is also for bear's best friend caterpillar, assuming he arrives in time after disappearing mysteriously, claiming he has a surprise for bear. Initially each pet is named after its species, but players have the opportunity to re-name every pet they encounter. Party planning involves running around the city -- and taking occasional trips into the country -- in order to complete tasks and errands to get the evening event ready. Preparations include inviting all of their friends, making snacks, and getting the room ready for the party.
