The Fantasy Zone series has always had a certain charm to it that's made it so popular among shooter fans over the years and Fantasy Zone 2 is certainly no exception. It's basically everything you could want from a sequel and more. The levels are bigger, the game play is a bit more varied, and the visuals are about as impressive as anything you'll see on the 8-bit Sega Master System. It's safe to say that if you've enjoyed any of the other Fantasy Zone releases, you're going to love Fantasy Zone 2. And if you haven't tried any of the Fantasy Zone titles out yet, now might be a good time to do so.
Fantasy Zone 2: The Tears of Opa-Opa is the next game that will get the Sega 3D Classics treatment on 3DS, joining the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog, Ecco the Dolphin, Super-Hang On, Space Harrier and the original Fantasy Zone. Like its predecessor, Fantasy Zone 2 is a side-scrolling shooter set in a vibrant, colorful universe.
That's seriously the album's title. The complete collection features all the music from every version of the game, spanning 4 entire discs. Additional bonuses include a live arrangement recorded solely for the set with vocalist Takenobuo Mitsuyoshi (singer of Daytona USA) as well as a jazz arrangement that's featured on blackjack machines in Japan. This is the 4th year that Press Start has taken place, and this year, it featured a wide range of music including "Still Alive" from Portal, music from Okami, Suikoden, Tales of Legendia, and of course Final Fantasy and Super Mario Bros.
