Toronto Thumbs: Valkyria Chronicles DLC Review

Toronto Thumbs writes: "If my constant mentioning of the title, our enthusiastic review, or my "Buy Valkyria Chronicles" campaign across forums and city streets hasn't gotten the idea across, I'll reiterate that anyone who owns a PS3 needs to at least try this game once to understand what the fuss is all about. Not only was the game one of the most important releases for 2008, but proved a vital first shot in verifying that Sega had re-emerged as a serious and focused developer as well as publisher. During my campaign I also learned that I'm not alone in believing the game is capable of a long term sales future, gathering new recruits as fresh hands continue picking up rifles in defense of Gallia."

I really can't wait to see a trailer.
Every bit of info makes the game cooler and cooler.
This and Enslaved will be 2010 sleeper hits.

VGC Review: Valkyria Chronicles DLC - Challenges from Team Edy

All in all, Challenge of the Edy Detachment is roughly as great as Behind her Blue Flame, but for different reasons. The strategy required in each mission is a lot of fun and takes you back to how amazing the main game is, and it's a further reminder that the missions in Valkyria Chronicles have a surprising amount of variety. But the presentation is lackluster and the overall playtime makes it slightly shorter than Behind her Blue Flame. I had hoped that the final piece of Valkyria Chronicles DLC would undoubtedly be the best, but I suppose being tied for that honor is just as good. If you're a fan of the game go pick this up and revel in the best PS3 RPG just one more time.
