MMORPG didn't enjoy the game in huge abundance because there was nothing that struck them as 'wow they have GOT to play this game more!' and that's what they look for in a game. There's so much competition out there these days. There was also nothing that they really hated about the game either, it was just sort of middle of the road. Fun to give it a whirl, and fun to play with pets and mounts but these days LOTS of games offer those exact same things, with better graphics and more depth.
Megan Myrick writes: "Hero and Monster Girl Quest 3d are technically two separate titles that have been combined into one campaign. For a project that’s been going on nearly three years, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of significant progress. Some of the past updates for Hero have talked about fine-tuning animation and lighting, but only a “Half-Demo” has been released."
I can understand life getting in the way of game development, but it doesn't take much to give backers a quick update.
A new game tentatively named Hero was leaked May last year, and may be the same upcoming new IP Ubisoft revealed in their recent earnings call.
