You know, twisting and lying about what developers promised is pretty low you know that?
If you actually followed their blogs back when it was still in production, they actually announced there was a delay when they tried 1:1 with the hardware they had back then( just the wii-mote and nunchuck ).
They told everyone there was no 1:1 because it didn't work.

Their "commericial" was pure to get peoples interest, but the words that were said promised no such things.

Motion Plus should've came earlier. Like at launch. As much as I would love to play Red Steel 2 seeing as how the 1st one was good for me and had potential, too little, too late. I'll see what Sony has cooking up because I didn't pay $1200 to play games 480p.

wouldnt we all still have the ps2, xbox, and gamecube if screen resolution really didnt matter? nintendo wasnt intending on HDTVs taking off so fast. when you buy a 1080p tv you dont want to be limited to a third of the resolution. motion sensing controls are coming to the ps3 and 360...kinda making the wii obsolete. unless your a little girl trying to cook or garden with mama.

a current gen game being fun is one thing, a game being fun and using old tech is another.

I paid around 250 to get some ok motion controls and I'll pay extra to get the real deal and a game that has worked out the next gen bugs of motion control. I too have a HDtv and I'll still be playing the Wii on them. Hell I still watch DVD of some of my favorite movies that are not HD and I will continue to do those things because I like content not just resolution.

Another thing is you do realize lots of your HD games are not even using real HD resolutions? So you actually got a HD branded system to get sub HD graphics, few games can pull off real HD resolution with the specs that the HD systems have. Now if you need shaders and all then that is your problem. Red steel's art style is a good reason art is king in video games and tech is not.

if you like Dead Space have you tried House of the Dead: Overkill or Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles? Those are 2 very well made light gun games in the same genre as Extraction.
Madworld is fun and with upcoming games such as Tiger Woods, Grand Slam Tennis, The Conduit, Darkside Chronicles, Demon Blade, Monster Hunter Tri, Silent Hill, i mean the list goes on. Things are looking up for the Wii, especially in the third party section. All that without Nintendo's first party titles.

He might be being a little mean, but I grew up on Nintendo. I LOVED Nintendo to death back before the Gamecube came out. Ever since then, I could care less about what Nintendo does. They are stuck in lala land. The gaming population has grown up, and the Wii has barely delivered anything to satisfy my gaming needs.

They had a great idea with the Wii, they just missed the ball when it came to the graphics part. Nintendo also focused way too heavily in the casual department. Like I said, I have supported Nintendo since the original NES up to the Wii, and even took a shot on the Virtual Boy. I just don't identify with Nintendo like I used to. I owned every Sega system also, but I always preferred Nintendo's sytems, that is until the Gamecube came out. Ever since then, it has been the same games over and over and over, and very little innovation.

A lot of the games that should have used motion control the best,(Super Mario Galalxy, SSBB, and others) would have been better off just using a regular controller (I know you can use a regular controller on SSBB, but the motion controls are not that great.)

When the N64 came out, one of the best games to take advantage of the new controller was Super Mario 64. When the Wii launched we got Wii Sports, WTF!?

Did I ever say that? my point is by your theory that "resolution doesnt matter", then why do people upgrade their system? all last gen systems had 'fun' games, so why did most every single person on n4g make the switch to next gen? i never said the wii had no fun games, but in fact you took the words right out of my mouth because I meant to say it. i had a wii, tried it, and it was eXtremely boring to me so i got rid of it. then again im 28. my 12 year old brother loves the wii though. so to me its whatever floats your boat, but to say that resolution doesnt matter is not only hypocritical but naive. why is nvidia and ATI in business? should we all just use on board media accelerators on our computers since resolution doesnt matter? for the vision impaired should they take off their glasses so everything is blurry...because resolution doesnt matter. get a new argument to defend your precious wii. motion controls is a better reason to own the wii than the whole resolution argument. at least then you can claim you like to waive your arms around frantically than go do real exercise. thats a bit more believable than trying to claim resolution doesnt matter.

and to the 540p GTA4 claim, yes i am getting the full features of my tv, if i had an oldschool tube then it would only be 480. not only that but the fact that you want to play it on pc for a higher resolution tells me that graphics matter.

wii needs more than a graphics upgrade imo. some true third party support would be nice. devs cant even make the same game for the wii as the ps3 and 360 because of the limited graphics. nintendo was smart this gen and made a ton of money but it was trend, and with no good game support the system will not last much longer. then we'll get another nintendo...hence, with better graphics.
