Tits and Ass: "WET Isn't About it", Insists Bethesda

Gameplayer writes:
"Here's an interesting tidbit: according to Bethesda their forthcoming title, Wet, is a game that doesn't rely on sex to sell itself. Rrrright.

Here's a quick recap for those of you not paying attention: the game's called Wet, you play as gun totting hot chick who regularly goes legs akimbo in skin-tight leather pants, and has a considerable polygon count upstairs – but this ISN'T tits and arse marketing..."

going on the road of Capcom?
Soul Calibur IV? lol

btw, does this game remind any1 of Stranglehold?

Sharingan_no_Kakashi5471d ago

"Considerable polygon count upstairs"

This writer is awesome :)

hay5471d ago

Yeah, it reminds me of Stranglehold with tit and booty job instead of Chow Yun-Fat.
I won't buy this crap that WET is not about tits and ass.
Come on. We have agile and hot chick in tight clothes who performs unusual stunts trying to look cool at the same time doing what most of people love to do in video games. Killing.

Also, isn't the game as a whole a bit suggestive? I mean think about first things that'll come to your mind about it.

WET hot chick killing.

I think they're just f*cking with our brains.

andron5470d ago (Edited 5470d ago )

I was a bit disappointed with Stranglehold, and I hope Wet will be better. It looks good from the little bits I have seen.

And what's wrong with a "suggestive" TPS? Not many of those around and I would love to see this woman kick ass LOL

Edit: Sounds to me Bethesda is trying to tone down the tone of the game, which is strange since they picked it up for publishing. Let's hope they don't mess up the game in an effort to appeal to a "broader" audience...

rogimusprime5471d ago

but I can't say "T*** and A$$" in a comment post without getting suspended for a few days?

Or can I.....

Canary5471d ago

Of course sex is the selling point.

This is Bethesda. They can't exactly try to claim "quality" with their last few games.

outlawlife5471d ago (Edited 5471d ago )

they don't have to because people bought them anyway and will buy anything they do

just like the people who buy anything blizzard does, or bioware

Panthers5471d ago (Edited 5471d ago )

Blizzard puts out quality, although I never bought WoW so I dont know about that

Hands5471d ago

i agree. who really cares if a company says something other than a new game announcement.

rezzah5471d ago

What really matters, is that the gameplay looks like crap.

Looking Back to 2009 and WET

Nick writes: "WET was a pretty cool experimental project; a mixture of Stranglehold and Max Payne with a bullet-time mechanic and 70’s china-town movie style."

Blurs servers were the main issue but would love to see it return.

AZRoboto2480d ago

I'll point out that these games are all from the X360/PS3 era - they've already had HD releases when they first came out. Split/Second and Blur - with the crazy vehicle physics capable today, why would we not want sequels to them?

The other games, all a matter of opinion of course, but... thank you for your ads between every single game. /s

TheDCD2480d ago

Problem with sequels is that they aren't very likely. Activision dropped Blur like a bad habit, and Disney isn't doing games anymore. So I'll happily take the originals.

Remember Me
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Miss_Weeboo2480d ago

Alan Wake
Lost Odyssey
Demon Souls

TheDCD2479d ago

As much as I'd kill for a Demon's Souls remake, isn't likely. We'll probably get Bloodborne 2 instead.

PhoenixUp2479d ago

Dafuq kinda title is that? These games were already released on HD consoles though...
