KOEIWarriors: Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 Review

KOEIWarriors writes: "That's right, Koei and Namco-Bandai have joined forces once again to bring the gameplay of Dynasty Warriors together with the expansive universe of Gundam. In the series' first entry back in 2007, I was absolutely blown away by how entertained I was. I knew nothing of Gundam at the time, so I was actually very hesitant to fork over $60 for it, despite having "Dynasty Warriors" written right on the cover. I have to say now, man, have times changed."

I got the game and I'd say that's a pretty damn good score for it, despite it not having the option to change the language from English to Japanese it's extremely fun. Chocked full of things you can do, and for those who love it has quite a few trophies. Though I agree with the reviewer that some aspects of story are quite confusing which made me scratch my head and wonderment and seemed like it didn't really follow the story down to a T, but was close enough. Which is why I've slowly started to make my way back into watching Gundam, which I suppose could be an effective marketing of getting people to watch it again; It is a pretty good series and all :).

Though half of me wants to say, would this review be all in all completely fair about a site named Koei warrior that pretty much love all Koei games? Either way I still say it's pretty fair review and those who like Gundam will probably like this, but if they hate the dynasty warriors aspect gameplay they may want to look elsewhere. Overall it's at least worth a glance, rental if you plan to rent it for at least a few weeks in the summer.

Nice review!

GFB: Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 Review

GFB writes: "Dynasty Warriors is directly related to two key points. Firstly, hack-n-slash button mashing gameplay. Secondly, this series has barely changed over the years in terms of both graphics and gameplay. Still, whether you've played only one, or every one, the mantra holds true. If it isn't broke, don't fix it. When it was first announced that DW was going to see a Gundam paintjob, fans from both camps got a tad worried. Prior to the original Dynasty Warriors: Gundam, DW saw only Asian generals and swordsmen facing in battle. How could adding giant robots affect this balance?"
