It's a light new video game release week, but most of the games won't break the bank. In fact, most of these games are all under $30 price point. Patapon 2 is available at retail stores for the PSP (includes downloadable code, not UMD) and from the PlayStation Network. Klonoa debuts on Wii, back from the PSone days. The new Nintendo DS Lite Green bundle with Personal Trainer: Cooking and a unique carrying case is available starting Sunday, May 3rd as well.

Bandai Namco's Klonoa series is finally returning with a pair of remasters, but what exactly is it, and why are fans crying tears of joy over it?
Lunatea’s Veil was/is Mind Candy.
Phantomile is also amazing, but Viel was on a while new level with the visuals and sound. I hope the remaster helps them both shine like the gems they are (better be proper remasters!). Can't wait to see these again. More gamers need to have the Klonoa Experience. It's that on-another-level, ultra-rare Namco arcady-platform magic that shines so hard with these.
Aye-Chaloopa-loopa!!! Or what ever he says.
Klonoa was good but Klonoa 2 was a masterpiece that wasn't known. I found out about it from a demo disc. Think it was the one with Dynasty Warriors 2 or3, Final Fantasy X, Crash Wrath of Cortex, SSX tricky etc. Then finally found a copy years later at a 2nd hand store and it always froze of the first surf stage lol. So sad. I did get to play more like in 2010 but never got to finish it
Both games are great, Klonoa 2 is absolutey brilliant as a whole, but looses some steam towards the end of the game.
Either way would love to play these on modern platforms.
Xfire writes: "Multiple Klonoa trademarks suggest that Bandai is bringing back the underrated series for modern platforms."
Phil writes, "A few weeks ago was the 40th anniversary of Nintendo's main monkey, Nintendo's awesome ape, Nintendo's super simian: Donkey Kong. This Tuesday 10s focuses on the best of the banana bunch in the Donkey Kong series, from main games to spin-offs! It's a banana slamma' of games, so let's get to it."
Tropical Freeze is way better than Country Returns and Dixie's whatever it's called. It's easily in top 3 DK games.
My first reaction was... They made 10 Donkey Kong games?! Then I thought that must be every single one... then I checked the list and Donkey Kong 64 is not even on it. No wonder Nintendo won't make more 3D Donkey Kong. I really enjoyed tropical freeze but I am still waiting for the next 3D game. Its really the only thing I want from the series at this point. Also, I can't take Jungle beat seriously...
I'll be getting Patapon 2 as soon as PSP Go! comes out. Otherwise the only other title of interest is Klonoa.
