CGC: Fishdom H2O: Hidden Odyssey Review

Jennifer, the main character in Fishdom H2O: Hidden Odyssey, needs to achieve the Best Aquarium Award and prove she is just as good as her retiring uncle. Her uncle believes in her, but she has to convince the other folks that she has what it takes. Players help Jennifer build her aquarium in this hidden object/simulation game. The simulation part adds a nice twist to the hidden object part.

Players have to build up their aquarium, but they need money to add fish, plants and other comfort items, such as bubble makers. The easiest way to make money is to go diving for items under the sea. The diving part is where the hidden object game lies. Players have to find the items on the list of items. Each item found gives the player money. There are two modes to play in a relaxed mode, where it doesn't matter how long it takes to find the objects or a timed mode where players race against the clock.

Nintendo Life: Fishdom H2O: Hidden Odyssey Review

Nintendo Life: If you’ve never been exposed to a hidden object game before, the concept is as simple to understand as a youthful game of I spy or finding Waldo hidden within the pages of a Where’s Waldo? book. Imagine your bedroom is contained in a snow globe. Someone takes it, shakes it for a minute or two, sets it down, and at that point you’re presented with a list of items you need to find within the mess. That’s exactly what these games are like, but in Fishdom H2O: Hidden Odyssey, you’re searching through mass amounts of human clutter at the bottom of the ocean floor.
