First Details "Aliens vs. Predator"

Some first details taken from Gamefront:

- The game has three classes, namely the Aliens, Predators and Marines, each class has its own distinctive features and options.

- A rock-paper-scissors' principle will be applied for the multiplayer to the system in balance, and the singleplayer addition each class its own campaign.

- The story takes place thirty years after the original Aliens, and is a new planet where a population wants to colonize. In their search for minerals they face ancient ruins there and all hell breaks loose.

- There are many ideas implemented previously, with the older hardware, not possible.

- Aliens vs. Predator should appear in 2010.

Alien 4 is Alien: Resurrection. IMDB shows no future Alien projects, where did you hear that from?

The last rumors where that Ridley Scott was going to direct a new aliens movie with James Cameron writing it, but around this time Alien Vs Predator came around and James Cameron said it ruined the validity of the series so he scrapped it.

If it's anything like Aliens vs Predators 2 on the PC... then this game would be super awesome! 4 types of Preds, 4 types of Aliens + 1 Queen mutation + facehugger, a variety of marine and corporate soldiers + 1 power suit.

I just hope they make the gameplay, graphics, effects better than messing too much with the gameplay. My favorite gun was the flamethrower, the predator's disk/freesbee, the Runner Aliens... and the all powerful one hit kill Queen.

I just hope they make it awesome again with Infection mode. It starts everybody as humans and one person spawns as an alien. Anyone that dies afterwards becomes an alien. The object of the game is survival. The longest person to live gets the highest points.

Well this site lists other games confirmed as being on the PC as PS3/360 only so it appears it's just a console gaming website. Kind of sad how many of them act like PC gaming doesn't exist though.

Awesome. AVP2 ruled. Had awesome singleplayer and multiplayer even though I prefer to only have one of them. AWESOME! Also, sexy and cool look.

This isn't being made by the same people who did AVP2, same people as the original AVP though, but most of the games they've put out have been terrible. Especially that Shellshock game. It got something like a 2/10 from Gamespot if I remember correctly.

I know. Shellshock 2... Still, that team has made some decent if not great games in the past. AVP2 was made Monolith, right? Great team but their latest, the FEAR2 was disappointing to say the least.
