The Strike puts the fishing rod in players' hands as they head out to their favorite fishing holes, including ten of North America's greatest lakes. Featuring realistic lake bottom topography, advanced graphics, life-like fish behaviors, fully customizable characters and an abundance of boats, lures, rods and reels, The Strike offers virtual anglers the most realistic fishing game experience to-date.
Players will enjoy a variety of game-play modes including Quick Fish, Career and Bass Pro Shops Invitational Tournament, or they can compete with friends in boat racing and casting challenges.
TeamXbox recently had the chance to speak with Piranha Games' Kelsy Wittmann about his upcoming fishing title.
As a huge fan of fishing games, this one looks to be the best one yet! Reel Fishing for the Amiga has always been the one to judge all others by and with the current console fishing sims out there this one should be on any fishing fans list.
Two things that do come to mind ,1 the controler is wired and I can't seem to find a release date anywhere.Soon as it shows up on Game Stops web site ,I will pre-order it. Thanks for the excellent interview!
Terminal Reality says its proprietary Infernal Engine, used in its Ghostbusters games, is being used by Piranha Games in two titles: bass fishing title The Strike, and hunting simulation The Hunt.
"Everyone knows about Ghostbusters, but we at Terminal Reality believe in the extreme versatility of the Infernal Engine," says sales and marketing VP Joe Kreiner.
Kreiner points out that both Piranha titles employ peripherals -- a fishing pole for The Strike and a rifle accessory for the Hunt, and he says this "shows how well the Infernal Engine works with gaming peripherals."
