Dead Rising 2 - first gameplay footage shown in Tokyo

VG247: Capcom aired the first gameplay footage of Dead Rising 2 in Tokyo this morning, showing the game's protagonist attacking zombies in casinos with a chainsaw and a broom.

It's already confirmed for the ps3. But i still wouldn't trust them. DR2 should be a good game if it is anything like the first one. Just wish they could have used the ps3's power to populate like a whole town with zombies lol. Just wishful thinking i guess.

Every Capcom game will be multiplat. I can bet my balls you will not see a major Capcom game exclusive. Notice I said major, mainly the engine ones. Like SF, LP, DR, RE, etc. Monster Hunter is different because that series isn't being developed with MT Framework.

Do you have a link to that confirmation? I've seen not one Capcom person say "Dead Rising 2 coming to PS3" or even more specific "Day and Date with the Xbox 360 version".

Not that I don't think it might not.. Just might restore my faith in the game if I know it's not going thru the multiplatform PS3 meat grinder.

Yes, Dead Rising 2 is confirmed for the PS3 as well as the Xbox360 and PC.

Can't wait to get this game! Hopefully, For us PS3 users, we get Dead Rising on PSN as rumored. It would be great though if they put Dead Rising on the same disc as DR2 as like a collector's edition (like how GOW1&2 might be on GOW3 as a CE.)

That way they can actually push some software on PS3 no need to make exclusives when they don't sell or push hardware for, well you know what console.

They know Sony's base buy games based on hype or desire, you know games that are hyped or games gamers are told are the new hotness by others. What better way of selling games on PS3 than to ride the hype created from the other platform.

Sony fans don't wan't games that lose their prestige when games are sssociated with Playstation and go to the 360 yet they wan't games that seem hot on the 360.

Why Dis, sometimes you just make zero sense. Capcom have just made way more money from their two BIGGEST franchises on PS3 and NOT 360. so much for PS3 owners not liking games that have lost "prestige" by going multi, sheesh.

Self owned much? That's without going into the fail sales of LP a game that's "hotness" due to it's 360 timed exclusivity prolly lost Capcom money from the decision to do what they did. Hence the reason they only push the sequel to the , at best, average first game on Live Marketplace.

DR is a slightly different matter as it was in dev before the kits were out for PS3 and though fugly and flawed is still a decent idea for a game. Hell, even 2K didn't pull off huge post exclusivity sales with a truly great game in Bioshock-though prolly cos most PS3 owneras that bothered played the infinitely superior PC version anyway.

And I take it your silly tirade means you feel FF13 will sell more on the 360? Good luck with that-please stop propelling this war by shooting yourself in the effin foot.

nothing wrong with RE5 controls, its meant to be played kind of like a house of the dead game except you choose a place to stand as opposed to a fixed camera that does not let you move around. If it did not have the 180 turn move included i'd agree that the controls are broken, but once you get the hang of things this game rocks. Mercenaries mode is very hectic and very good fun, especially played with a friend.

Love the first one! Thousands of Zombies on screen, running thru the maintence tunnels and mowing hundreds of zombies never gets old. I actually have the Zombie Genocider achievement and I hope they do something similar in this version.

I am trying to remain optimistic but it seems like Capcom is phoning the sequel in. If the n00b whiners get their way we will get a boring hack n' slash zombie game with no challenge. People wanting to remove the save system missed the whole point of the game in my opinion. Then they will try and shoe-horn Co-Op or some garbage multiplayer at the sacrifice of the campaign. The only thing I would of changed in the first was the timing of the Otis phone calls.

Crossing fingers Capcom doesn't screw this one up. Or whoever the unknown dev's are with the only credit they have being a bad baseball game.

The xbox 360 has like what 4 AAA exclusives,while the ps3 has alot of AAA exclusives, so the ps3 community cant just spend thier money on one good game because we have alot of AAA games.When a great game comes for the 360 the whole community will swarm it because they dont get good games that much *cough* Halo *cough*
