Kotaku: The Conduit Hands-On: A Second Look

Kotaku writes:

"Last month when I sat down with High Voltage to talk to them about their upcoming Wii shooter, The Conduit. I also managed to finagle some time playing the game.

I was surprised at how deftly the game seemed to handle... with one exception.

The Conduit is meant to be a solid first-person shooter built from the ground up for the Wii. I was impressed with just how customizable the controls are, allowing you to tweak just about everything in the game to try and create, or recreate, your favorite shooter controls."

I don't recall that problem( the cursor offscreen) in the developers video. You can even change the style of what happens if you go ofscreen indeed.

There are 3 options you can pick for it when you point off screen.

it continues to spin or look in that direction
It stops turning
or can be set to level level out and look straight again.

Yeah kotaku is spreading BS any one that has paid attention to this game knows they gace you all of those options and even a bounding box editor to fix or play the way you want to.

Luckily the HVS staff reads kotaku also. I'm sure they will make a suitable default. If not there is still the options.

No one plays quake 3 on default either this is a very serious FPS game here.

You can totally setup your bounding box to control the way the camera moves. This looked like the players problem no the game.

Btw- I uploaded the control demostration vid:

Splatoon 2 Shows Off What Wii Shooters Should Have Been

There’s a consensus about Splatoon 1 that cannot be disputed: motion controls are the way to play. The Wii U Gamepad had its many problems on the system as a whole, but along with the way in which the touch screen was implemented in the first game like I mentioned in my last piece, using the Gamepad’s gyroscope was deemed a superior way to play compared to traditional joystick control.
