Game Focus: Demigod Review

Demigod is one of those games which surprised the hell out of me in many ways. From the overall presentation, the graphics and audio and the very fun and addictive gameplay, Demigod is one of the best PC games this year and is a shining example of how great game developers can continue to evolve old ideas into bigger and better games. This is a must buy for strategy fans looking for something new.

Pros

+ The overall presentation and graphical touches are very impressive
+ The Audio is well done
+ Addictive and easy gameplay…
+ …which takes a long time to master
+ It is a Stardock published title so we know many updates are coming and at least two are planned
+ The differences in the Demigods and the wide range of maps make for some intense replay value
+ Customization of your Demigod and matches are incredible
+ The Rook… I love The Rook
+ Brilliant mix of Real Time Strategy, Action and Role Playing Elements

Cons

- No true single player campaign
- Only 8 Demigods and 8 maps right now but two content updates are coming (at least)
- If you fail to pay attention to the fight you will die /insert evil laugh here\

That's a lot of RTS games... time I just don't have! Like I need my backlog to get any bigger!

GrapesOfRaf3153d ago

Ya it's a pretty decent sale but The Taken King, MGSV, Fallout 4 soon... too many games.

I wonder if we're over the hump now or if this is the next Call of Duty.

I still haven't found a MOBA I can get into. Did LoL for awhile, but it was such a slow grind in terms of ranking up and getting money. DOTA 2 just scares me. Infinite Crisis was alright, but I lost interest in it pretty quickly.

Chaoticmoon3541d ago

Why does Dota 2 scare you? Just wondering because imo its a fairly accessible game especially if you get some friends together to play with you. Also if you are just scared of sucking dont be, just have fun and ignore those who flame because if they are flaming then they probably suck too and are just trying to blame you for any of their mistakes. So just download it AND HAVE FUN!

Great article it is nice that someone documented the history of MOBA's.

"From mod to sensation" to over-saturation.

i dont like how all these companys are now trying to make mobas, the markets already been taken by lol and dota.

they should come up with something new instead of just copying.
