Not too long ago, news was released of a possible Red Steel 2 preview in next month's Nintendo Power. Fresh off of that comes some additional hype for a game that is said to be an exclusive to next month's issue of the Official Nintendo Magazine.
Phil writes, "Too often we see video game sequels that don't quite live up to their predecessors... but we already have an article series dedicated to those games. Instead, let's take a look at those video game sequels that not only live up to their predecessors but greatly surpass them in quality. It's time to bring back The Most Improved Video Game Sequels (you can read part one here) to check out these sensational sequels that delivered and did so in a deliciously delightful manner."
Resident Evil 4
Ratchet & Clank 2
Silent Hill 2
Street fighter 2
Castlevania: Symphony of the night
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Assassins Creed 2
Metal Gear Solid (not first game in the series)
Tekken 3
God of War (2018)
Mortal Kombat 9
Devil May Cry 3
Virtua Fighter 4
Luigis Mansion 3 doesn’t really belong in that list because the first game was great and it’s sequels didn’t really redefine the series.
There’s more to Ubisoft’s back catalogue than its Templar-bothering flagship franchise and we’re here to prove it. By grovelling for remasters, of course.
With the Switch bringing interest back into the realm of motion controls, it seems as good a time as any to dip back into the backlog and retrieve some lucrative nuggets from the one that launched the phenomenon in the first place: the Nintendo Wii.
lol Nintendo Power won't get huge exclusive previews like they used to.Game Informer is the only magazine that gets the big guns anymore
With Nintendo's refusal to bring great games released in the EU and JP to the US, don't expect a US release.
♦the first game was terrible. if it was on any other system, even ps2, it wouldve gotten a 4/10
This will be a great game to go along with The Conduit. RS2 could be a big game if they dont screw it up.
Seriously if they are going to do 2d story art they need to go all out on it. Hire a freaking motion graphics copy if you have to damn!
Ubisoft has a lot to prove now. If you look at conduit you realize those bull shots could actually have happened in that game. It's a lot to ask for them to catch up with HVS so quickly but it's possible. It would be nice to see these guys battle it out for number one FPS on the Wii.
If the Sword fighting is made to be cooler and a little more like kill bill or some thing we will have our selves a winner. Also could the hero be a sexy woman and a ninja?
Ubi does have a good art team working on this game yet they don't seem to be console vets. They will get better for there sake.
