CCP's space-based MMO EVE Online is upgraded to patch 1.1 today, fixing many bugs and exploits and introducing a number of changes.
Players should notice an increase to performance in major market hubs, since a change to the client will result in fewer calls to the database, meaning a smoother play experience. Tech 3 has received a number of alterations to subsystems, changing the way several of them work. Players will also notice many changes to ships, modules, weapons and ammunition and the user interface.
CCP Games has unveiled an ambitious roadmap for their sci-fi MMO EVE Online in 2024, headlined by the massive Equinox expansion set to launch on June 11th.

About time...
By smoother play, do they mean less lag? Because that's sorely needed in big fleet battles.
Always with big patches, games need major fixes afterwards.
Thing is, these games are tested for so long, why does this happen?!
