Jewel Quest Solitaire is a new casual Puzzle game for the NintendoDS set to be released to retail tomorrow by Avanquest Software Publishing. Following on from the hugely popular PC and NintendoDS games, this new NintendoDS title will provide puzzle enthusiasts with a fun, modern twist on the traditional versions of both Jewel Quest and Solitaire.
GameON writes: "This is a good mini-game that will keep you occupied for a few hours at a time and the replay value is endless which allows you to go back and play any level again. There is little bad that I can say about Jewel Quest Solitaire: everything is top notch and well presented".
GDN: "It makes Solitaire more entertaining with its integrated story line and production values are high. I got hooked to this game quite quickly and I am sure most people who pick up with game will too. There is a lot to like about this game. It is fun to play, and is a captivating diversion whilst doing a solid job of meeting the needs of Solitaire and gem swapping fans alike, this game is guaranteed to draw you in to the quest for hours at a time."
There's no doubt that the base gameplay of the title is entertaining and it's definitely a fun way to pass the time with addictiveness setting in quick if you're a fan of this kind of puzzle game. Ultimately though, Jewel Quest Solitaire just doesn't quite go far enough in representing good value for money. A lack of modes and gameplay variation holds the game back from being easier to recommend and we would have liked to see mid-puzzle saving opportunities and some kind of multiplayer aspect. However, fans of the series and solitaire enthusiasts will still find an enjoyable experience here.
