Curve announces first self-published title

London-based independent studio Curve has lifted the lid on its first self-published game, Explodemon.

The game, which will be hitting PSN, PC and WiiWare in 'Q4 2009', is a retro-inspired 2.5D platformer featuring a robotic hero with a self-destructive streak.

The idea came from the firm's design director Jonathan Biddle, who prototyped the idea himself using Game Maker. "After a working silently away for a few months in my spare time, I let a few people at Curve play Explodemon! and it became obvious that I'd managed to create something very fun," he said.
