Eidos Interactive have confirmed today that Drakensang: The Dark Eye, published by DTP Entertainment and distributed by Eidos Interactive in the UK, will be released nationwide on 27th March 2009. Already a smash hit in Germany, where Drakensang: The Dark Eye (which translates as 'Dragon song') is a beautifully crafted, single-player Role-Playing Game (RPG) which offers a huge and engrossing Campaign plus an intuitive Combat System set within the mythical medieval world of Aventuria.
Nerd Rock from the Sun writes: "There are only two rules right now, but I might make up others as I go along.
"First, I need to really role-play my character — as best as I can, at least.
"Second, if the character dies he (or she) stays dead, because that’s just how life is. No reloads whatsoever. Which might make for a very short or a very long game, depending on how things go."
Gamesta.com has yet another round of PC deals for frugal gamers. The latest comes from Groupees and their Be Mine 8 Bundle promotion that packs a ton of games for a low price. Just a buck will get you 4 games already, like the recently released Slam Bolt Scrappers. With $5 or more, you'll get Blood Bowl and more as well.
dtp Entertainment has revealed that ValuSoft will be releasing a "Complete Saga" bundle pack that includes Drakensang: The Dark Eye, Drakensang: The River of Time, and Drakensang: Philleason's Secret.
I would love to see a Deathtrap Dungeon in next gen hardware. I know it was a niche game but I loved it and would love to see another.
And just grab it on Steam where it's been out a week already.
