Imagine Ice Champions marks another addition to the already vast selection of Imagine games released by Ubisoft. Designed for girl-gamers in the six to 14 age range, recent titles in the series include Imagine Movie Star, Imagine Wedding Designer and Imagine Ballet Star. If you've got an Imagine fan in the house, check to see if they've already played the ballet one and liked it, as this game is very similar.
The adventure begins with players choosing one of four girls to play as – Emma Ito, Lynn Ishii, Yuna Shiro, and Leah White – with the names giving away the game's Japanese roots. From there it's off to meet coach Midori Saito, who has "trained enough skaters to fill an entire galaxy," and her successful students Miki, Mako and Momoka. Players learn that their ultimate goal is to win the overall Grand Prix skating event, and set about both training and exploring their first city location.
