The only thing that i could see as a problem is for those that do not have the luxury of fiber optics also the quality of the graphics of the game will undoubtedly suffer since it is streamed through the internet rather than something in front of a person.

But we'll see how this one will fold out...

Although we didnt see anything in regards to streaming HD games etc. The interface itself is really fluid and well thought out.

I wonder what those showcase videos are actually videos of, ie. if there someones brag clips etc.

it does indeed look to be the future, However I think the basic 'content' would take a long, long long time to be on par with the retail power of 'buying' your own games seen as this system depends 100% on games publisher support & content provided.

I would imagine if its subscription based, Its going to be classic & budget titles available at first. unless of course there is a 'hire' service for new titles for say a time based fee which I assume there will be, its almost like hiring games at your local store instead of buying them ...this just takes away the actual task of going down to the shop to 'get' your hire game.

Very very interesting, But again I wonder if game publishers will fully support it or just throw budget titles at it ...I cant see this system making the game publishers more money than the old fashioned way of charging us full whack at the stores.

with minimal cost to them all money they make off games sold is profit. I personally think the good will outweigh the bad on this service.

this is some pretty slick stuff. this is perfect for many console gamers who want to get into pc gaming but don't know how to upgrade a pc nor do they have enough funds to buy a gaming pc. This is perfect. IMO this is steam on steroids.

And that's a good thing.

With steam you actually have the files on your computer. Whats to stop them from removing a game that you purchased and it's gone. It'll be like you never owned it in the first place.

Internet caps and not everybody has broadband. A huge percentage of people are still up on dial up or no internet at all.

And then there is subscription fees.

What happens when there is a server malfunction and all your data is gone or you account gets stolen.

What exactly are the target subscription costs? There's been no mention of that and you know they have an idea already. Also hows that going to affect people that have internet caps or have to pay more for their usage?

I like my physical content but I'm also open to digital content as well. That being said I'm not a big fan of monthly bills or adding new ones, hence the reason I don't pay for games such as WoW. Also how long are the games going to stay available? I like playing old games once in awhile, would you lose that ability with this?

The interface looks great but alot of the doubt people are having isn't about the interface it's about will playing a game over the service once millions are using it work and play lag free. I'm not 100% sold on the idea that it will and the fact that they didn't actually launch a game and play something in the video makes me even more suspicious. If they are giving people a chance to play it and use the service at GDC why not put that in the video?

If the service does everything that they promise it will do then it will be a revolution as you will no longer need to be a uber tech geek to play games at highest res and what not on a PC. But I seriously have my doubts at this point in time.

it looks sweet but i aint buying full games in digital download just cause the internet is not as safe as the real thing i want the disc in my hands not digital...

but if you think about it even a digital download is slightly better than this because you would at least have it on a hard drive in your home. this thing holds the game on some server that is probably miles away from you. I for one would only like this as an add on to an actual physical media playing system. I would honestly ,dare I say it, prefer a Wii to this type of system.

this service looks amazing.

imagen coming home and wanting to play a game u dont have. just fire up OnLive and start playing that game without having to go to the shops or downloading it.

also if there is a rent option on all games then why would u want to buy the full game, doesnt make since. say u buy the full game for £30 and it only lasts 10 hours. but then if u rent it for say i dont no £5 for a week, then u have just saved alot of money.

i like this service, hope it becomes BIG.

on my internet connection it has a cap of 30GB per month if I get this i cant get lots of games :(

...that may be ready for the mass market towards the end of the PS4's life cycle.

IT and media vendors are great at selling vaporware and that's what we have just seen. I look forward to seeking the types of point and click games it will offer. I also look forward to seeking what type of set top box you will need to hook into the service.

There are no different from the one 3D browser ad-on from the Firefox. samething almost.
