I never bashed Ninja Gaiden. I love the series because of Sigma. I only said Team Ninja could have done a better job with Ninja Gaiden 2 because the entire game was a glitchfest, based on all the youtube videos I've seen.

Well Ninja Gaiden 2 wasn't that great, deserved at most an 8. The gameplay was solid though, except the frame rates weren't stable enough for this kind of game. I don't mind if it was 585p, but the unusual fact that there's frame rate dips even at 585p is disturbing. And not to mention the d-bag itagaki clamoring how he likes to work with the "most powerful hardware"

NGS2 is the version that should have shipped for the 360 to begin with.

I honestly think it could have been multiplatform, but I think Team Ninja or Tecmo wants to release this exclusively on PS3 to stab itagaki in his black heart since he tried to sue them.

No Lou, Valve/EA went back and patched The Orange Box to fix several things. Tecmo/TN did not release a single patch or update for Ninja Gaiden 2. I still really loved the game but it could of definately used some fixes and the community asked for them.

Valve not releasing a title at all on the PS3 is no different than Insomniac not releasing games on the 360. Different situation.

thats a question you shouldn't even ask, this game is coming out in the fall, by then, all games have been required to have them. This has been mandated since Janurary 2009 if they haven't been certified to play on the PS3 yet.

The good news is. This version is helmed by the same guy that brought us sigma 1.

I was completely dissapointed in NG2. I really was looking forward to it but man did it suck.

I expected alot more from Team Ninja after playing sigma on my PS3. NG2 in alot of ways was much worse then NG sigma. Yes the graphics were better but only by just a bit. Frame rate wise Sigma was better. Story is complete garbage and the camera made me want to kill someone. Team Ninja didn't improve it whatsoever in NG2.

Its great if they are able to improve the frame rate and camera issue especially but in the end they can't change the story which will still suck. Here is hopeing for the best.

i don't know about a rehash seems more like a resurrection. using an updated sigma engine, tweak camera, new story elements, new characters, online co-op, new weapons, and new bosses doesn't sound like a rehash. if ng2 = ng2 v.05 than ngs2 = ng2 v1.5 (an extra .5 for the co-op)

It is a great game and I loved the originals too, veryone deserves to play it. New bonuses make me a little envious but I hope they are worth it. Please Tecmo, give PS3 owners the mission packs free as well. It is past development and should be included on the disc too. I would love a High Def remake of the arcade game for Live or PSN as it was very cool, two player action as well. I loved Somersaulting Sumos into the other baddies or walls!

Being a ps3 only owner i was sad when they announced NG2 as a 360 exclusive. I enjoyed all 3 NinjaGaiden versions. It was even worst to see the sequel to my fav game so unpolished. Now tecmo goes and announces sigma2 for ps3 only, a polished game with a lot of extras and even co-op. Im happy i will play this game but WTF... Tecmo, that's a kick in the nuts to your 360 fans. At least make it a DLC for your 360 fans.

Hell yes, 1.its about time some third party developers are using the power of the ps3. Its funny how third party company tecmo and konami didn't come up with and excuse to say the ps3 is difficult to make games. 2. Sony just release and update version of PhyreEngine so game developers dont come up with the same excuse again to try to avoid the ps3 again, unlike some developer like valve lazy a$$es. 3.Its just a matter of time before Sony have everyone attention. The Ps3 engine is more powerful then any console that hit the market today. 4.An yeah I seen cryengine3 Im not going to denied the fact it look awesome for the 360, but I look closely and in my opinion see no different between that and Kz2. I got to admit thisis great news and I might get another version of Ninja gaiden 2 as I already owned The first Sigma and NG2.

But, I have a feeling that this game will sell like crap outside of Japan like the first Sigma.

For the PS3 fanboys that are celebrating, didn't this game came out over one year ago and developers have time to fix up the graphics and adding features,

Look at VF5 for example. It camer out later on the x360 and it has better graphics, more features and ONLINE.

So for the fanboys that are talking trash about the x360 version, it doesn't take much to understand that extra development time (in the case of sigma, 1.5 years upon the original release) to understand that extra stuff and improve graphics are things that can ne improved over time.

When Sigma came out, there really wasn't a whole lot else out there at the time really worth playing for the PS3.

Time have changed and there are going to be a lot more options this time around when this sequel comes out. It could do well, or it could be overshadowed. We'll see how things turn out.

Hell yes. Ayane looks wicked fast and awesome, the other chick whatever. Also, did they tone down the blood for this version? That was actually one of the turnoffs for me when I saw video of NGII. Maybe you can turn off the blood and stuff in options. Either way, I'm glad I finally get to try this game out, and with the extra stuff. I've beaten NGS twice already, and will have to do so again before fall.

The video was awesome. The game is bringing a bit of epicness that the first version of Ninja Gaiden II lacked. Some of those bosses are HUGE!!! On top of that they are making Momoji a playable character which is awesome. I thought she was great in Dragon Sword but then they never seemed interested in having her involved with the franchise after that. It makes alot of sense to include her.

The Co-op shown also looked like it worked pretty well. This will be the version to buy for sure and I will be eagerly awaiting it's release.

I like Ninja Gaiden a great deal, have since the first on xbox, and on to Sigma. What I didn't like, when it came to NG2 was reading about and watching from videos, a haphazard technical performance, especially when it comes to the camera, that would work to break immersion and flow.
Even though I can now play NG2, I'll wait for Sigma2, and not have those issues impede my enjoyment of this chapter. Great timing by Team Ninja, with this announcement, and perhaps we'll get higher quality media, after tomorrow's event at the Metreon?
