Is Stormrise a Halo Wars beater? - Gameplayer

Intro from article:

"It's amazing how quickly you can get used to something, how quickly definitions make reality. Or, as the Riddler would put it, "When is an RTS not an RTS but still an RTS?" The answer is, "When it's Stormrise." The real-time strategy game has never thrived on the Xbox, and has never really thrived outside of a PC platform. The simplest reason for that is interface..."

Great another one of these...

As far as Im concerned, and from what Ive seen in trailers, they are both RTS games in the sense that mirrors edge is to uncharted. Yea there both platformers but thats were the similarities end. I predict the same for this next scenario, and wish the best of luck to stormrise.

Maybe this will be the RTS that the RTS junkies will enjoy. The way this article spoke about Stormrise it was basically everything that turned me off of playing RTS. Complex and convoluted bullsh*t is not why I'm gaming and Halo Wars is quick and to the point and I was able to actually enjoy it.

The fact they are locking you into ground level and you can only see what your troops see to me add's a whole nother layer of frustration. Anyway, would like to see a demo for this game and give it a try.

I don't why it has to be a Halo Wars beater for it to be a good game.

Everytime a Halo anything is released people line up with the "does xxxx beat Halo XXXXX". Already tired of hearing about KZ2 Halo killer and now they are moving on to Halo Wars killer. I'm sure when ODST comes out there will be some other DLC that will be the ODST killer. Same thing with Gears killer.. GT killer..

"Halo Wars is quick and to the point and I was able to actually enjoy it" exactly that is why is sooo good.

This one looks and sounds craaaaaazy but also like ENDWAR

- "The biggest change is a very simple one that completely alters the way you’ll view an RTS. No longer are you taking a ‘God’s eye’ view of the game. The only way to see a battlefield is through the eyes of your squad. If they can’t see something, you can’t see something. In this way, you’re reminded almost of a third-person shooter rather than a traditional RTS. But like that traditional RTS, you’ll be controlling many, dozens even, of units on the screen" -

I hope that all the future RTS on console end up good like Halo Wars or way better.

Creative Assembly Australia is making Stormrise, they aren't nearly as good as their European counterparts (the guys who made Empire: Total War).
