He's wearing the pink sweatsuit in the new game......classic.

Love the knockout animations aswell.

Gr815533d ago

If they'd keep the skyline joggin scene? in the pink jumpsuit no less! LoL. I tell you nintendo is awesome for their nostalgic touches to classic games.

I like how the face looks towards mac when he dodges the punch.
They know its comming xD

SinnedNogara5533d ago

The game looks VERY good, just wish it had some ONLINE MULTIPLAYER!!!

And I wish Zelda had leaderboards (just ranting). Looks pretty sweet though!!

Tarasque5533d ago

OMG the SKYLINE SCENE =o!!
XD

Freaking awesome. Love it, the theme is also awesome.
It seems to be a NES remake, i never played that one only the SNES one...this is epic.

edit:
Is it me or does it look like this is just a scene of what happened during the NES period?...will there be a new chapter to this?

Snatcher5533d ago

It looks great. This game will be as good as the classics.

What a fantastic month it's been for my Wii!

Anticipation for a Wii-version of Punch-Out! was one of my reasons for buying a launch Wii. That, and...**cringes while confessing**...Red Steel.

To be honest, I was quite disappointed to find that Wii Boxing wasn't as responsive/accurate I was hoping it to be. Supposedly, I'm hoping that the Motion-Plus add-on will fix that issue with the controller.

Does anyone know if Punch Out will support it? Although I don't agree with Nintendo charging me for an add-on which shouldn't have been required to begin with, I'd buy it in a heart-beat if it meant that it'll allow me to beat the crap outta Bald Bull the way I truly intend to.

ChickeyCantor5533d ago

No M+ for punch-out.
Wouldnt make sense anyway, only the wii-mote supports motion plus.

Torch5533d ago

Don't tell me that Punch Out! isn't going to be motion-sensitive???

**crosses fingers in anticipation**

ChickeyCantor5533d ago

Think about it, it only supports the Wiimote input not the nunchuck.

The only solution would be 2 wii-motes....but i doubt it.

6 Franchises Nintendo Needs to Resurrect on Switch

The Punished Backlog's David Silbert writes:

"Nintendo is widely known for its deep, eclectic well of beloved franchises. From The Legend of Zelda to Wrecking Crew, there’s no library in gaming as rich in history or as popular among fans.

2019 is shaping up to be a banner year for Nintendo, with representatives from Mario, Fire Emblem, Zelda, and Pokémon all gracing the Switch platform before the year’s end. At the same time, there are still plenty of Nintendo franchises that lie dormant this generation, in desperate need of the “Switch treatment.”

While there are plenty of legendary series worthy of a revival, here are six in particular I would absolutely kill to see on Switch in the near future."

A new Golden Sun and Mother would be great, but I wish I wasn't the only one that wants a new StarTropics.

Kid Icarus on the 3ds needs to be remade in HD, that game was really fun, the controls were a tad awkward and I'd cramp up. It'd benefit from a more comfortable controller. I really enjoyed my time w it. Advance Wars is a no brainer, come on Intelligent systems!

CyberSentinel2196d ago

1)Earthbound
2)Punch Out!
3)Kid Icarus (2D Metroidvania style)
4)Star Fox

gangsta_red2196d ago

Kid Icarus has the potential to be another Zelda. The very first game came out at the same time Metroid did and had many of the same gameplay elements. I'm sure it could be updated into a Zelda open world format.

Einhander19712196d ago

F-zero, Pilotwings, Kid Icarus, Starfox, Luigis Mansion 3 for switch.
