PlayStation®Home Xi Puzzle Launched

After all the speculation and hints, Sony finally revealed that Xi is indeed something, and not just a coding mistake as first thought. There's now an official section on the official PlayStation forums, and a space called "The Hub".

CydoniaX(PlayStation Home Manager) writes:

"If you're wondering what all this is about, Xi is an adventure based in PlayStation®Home. Download PlayStation®Home for free on your PlayStation®3 and look for the graffiti on the wall in the main square. Find that and all will be explained…"

All Xi is, is a scavenger hunt. You teleport to the hub and you have to get clues to unlock other clues. It might lead to something better but at the moment I find it lame.First you find 3 pieces of paper, then waive in front of a screen, then find jess's favorite band(theautomatic). Thats all there is so far. It just seems like a poor attempt to get you to go into home everyday for a clue.

Im on my third part of the puzzle and I've got no idea whats coming next. Btw Home has gotten soooooooooo much better since I tried it at launch. It's almost seemless now. Im no expert at tech but I think they could utilize the PS3 in a way to both load content and play it better than it does now.

See the PS3's menu system is referred to as the Cross media bar = XMB
So maybe Xi means XMB v2 (kinda like an improvement on X so it becomes Xi)
Probably something with home more integrated with the PS3 XMB.

Do the puzzle on the web browser up stairs. You'll receive a code, which you input into the Holopad. Then you'll get more instructions.
