On Thursday the orginal Silent Hill (1999) was re-released on Playstation Network (PAL only). The cult classic survival horror game playable on both PS3 & PSP and costing only £3.99 looks like a definitive must-buy for veterans and younger gamers alike. Everyone loves Silent Hill! But is it really worth buying? I downloaded the game at once to check how it holds after 10 years.
A breakdown of the best Silent Hill Characters that inspired and frightened gamers.
Estelle Mejia says: Silent Hill, for those who don’t know, is a psychological horror survival series that has declined somewhat. Fans point to the fact that the original team who helmed Silent Hill 1-4, named Team Silent, has been split, either working on different games for Konami or leaving the company altogether. This has left the series without a consistent team to helm the series for about 20 years, give or take.

4 people love Eternal Darkness.
Quick! Jump on that remake, whoever holds the rights these days.
isnt there a remake of silent hill coming to PSN and the wii? Or is this it?
If it was here in the US, I'd've bought it and still be playing it right now.
Just give me RE1, RE2 and SH.
apparently retro games are no longer as good when released on the PSN...
Sure the graphics might look a bit dated by today's standards, but I think in the case of what the game does, it actually adds to the charm. Especially when the town morphs into hell, and everything looks really gritty and bloody.
SH is a classic that anyone who is a fan of survival horror games owes it to themselves to play. It's got the best soundtrack, and the darkest, most mature story in a survival horror game -- two things that are perfect for the genre. Plus, some of the locales, like the Hospital and the Sewers are f'in SCARY.
