Right on the bottom of Rising Star's 2009 release list is Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga. Marvelous officially announced the online RPG made for Wii at Tokyo Game Show last year with an ambiguous Japan gets this sometime in 2009 target. Now we know Europe will get an English version in November 2009. And if Europe gets Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga you can bet it's coming here too either from the Xseed / Marvelous USA partnership or another publisher like Atlus.
Digitally Downloaded writes: "Often the Wii was criticised for its perceived lack of quality third party games to play, but it's not the case at all. The Wii had some excellent third party games to play, it's just that some of them required a little digging to get to."
This series is destined to be quickly forgotten in the west (it actually has a strong niche in Japan), which is a pity, because there’s a lot to like about these games. They're not for everyone, but JRPG fans looking for something a little different would do well to try these out.
Neocrisis: Continuing a bumper year of releases, Rising Star Games has confirmed Eldar Saga's 2010 release date as 17th September. The game will fill a niche in the current games climate by appealing to Wii owners who are interested in the RPG format.
