Games Are Evil writes, "At one time or another we have all wished we were king of the world. On April 24th, Rising Star Games is giving us that opportunity. In Little King's Story we are introduced to a wide variety of characters including Corobo Bred, a shy boy who becomes the King of Alpoko.
As the King you manage and involve townspeople, changing their jobs and your tactics to dig for treasure, build, demolish obstacles and fight the many bosses or Uma. Townspeople can be farmers, soldiers, carpenters or just carefree adults, living out their days under your rule. Once you've made your entourage, you have the ability to travel to the other seven kingdoms to see the seven wonders. Unite the lands of Gluttonia, where the fat people are, Jolly, the land of happiness, and Overreach, etc. Little King's Story morphs the Wii Remote into your royal scepter and gives you the power to rule the world.
How do you plan to rule your kingdom?"
Little King’s Story is essentially about a kid living a fantasy, and these elements really add a layer of unease into that fantasy.
NoobFeed writes: "Publisher Xseed Games has launched a patch for the PC version of Little King’s Story on Steam, fixing most issues with framerate, adding graphical options and improving controls. To fix these launch issues, the company turned to Peter Thoman, who is better known as Durante online."
"Armchair general" is a term in gaming used in strategy games where you're controlling armies from the comfort of your gaming chair. It can be fun and we have plenty of games that explore such an idea in multiple ways. XCOM 2 or Starcraft 2 are great examples of this genre; leading units against enemies in waves and commanding and positioning them can be great fun. Sadly, while Little King's Story is a decent game, its reputation is marred by a poor PC port.
This game looks really neat!
So Cute! I wanna be a little king!
I've been seeing Rising Star games, and Atlus, EVERYWHERE this month. It's a good season for fans of titles with that infusion of Japanese influence.
I don't want to play nothing I just want to drink and fight with killzone fanboys.
About time! This is A GAME!! Western influence is what is killing our favourite hobby. Enough with the god damn FPSs, blood and gore!
All hail King Corobo!
