Fallout 3 FTW!!! One of the best games ever made. DLC is sweet. It's definitely good to see a game that was already HUGE getting add ons that are games within themselves.

harrisk9545532d ago

I have to say that this is the first DLC that I am really jealous about. Fallout 3 was one of my favorite, if not the favorite game last year -- although the story had a weak ending, I loved the game... Although I'm not holding my breath for it, I really hope that Bethesda releases this for the PS3 down the road...

beavis4play5532d ago

i too, have to say i'm envious of this dlc being xbox only. if this were available for ps3, i'd have to have it. it looks that good to me.

MicroSony4Life5532d ago

But i bought the PS3 version becuse my 360 was in for repairs at the time.

I kind of wish I had bought it for the 360 even if it meant me waiting little while to play it.

The Peoples ARMPIT5532d ago

This looks very promising. Nice to see full downloadable games coming to the Playstation Store. This is the kind of games i would blow money on at the ps store. Keep them coming Sony boy.

caffman5532d ago

and as it won't be on the PS3 buy something like SSARP battle cars which is a great little game on the PSN

mirroredderorrim5532d ago

Timed exclusive?
Because I see no mention of it for Playstation 3.

caffman5532d ago

but there is no fallout 3 DLC coming to PS3

panasonic235532d ago

only on xbox b!tch ahahahhahhah

Chubear5532d ago

but there is FO3 DLC coming to the PS3. Hope I didn't hurt your feelings on that one.

beavis4play5532d ago

if the retail version of fallout had been more like this, i'd had bought it.

SonyRulz5532d ago

...it's basically the same as the core game, but with a new setting and a few added weapons/enemies. If you haven't played it, you're missing out on one of the best games of ALL TIME.

beavis4play5532d ago

i'll be picking it up in a 19.99 sale bin at some point. but there are things about the core version that just put me off. i didn't care for the targeting system and that band music drove me nuts!

the "pitt" footage just seems to up the tension and seriousness that i thought the retail version would have. (all i have to go on is trailers for retail version). but those trailers never impressed me the way that the "pitt" footage did. 360 owners are getting a good deal with this dlc.

SonyRulz5532d ago

The PS3 got the gimped version...get over it.

Holding out for the DLC for the PS3? IF it happens, it will be a year away...but I don't see it happening. MS spends $$ on exclusive DLC and marketing; Sony spends $$ on exclusive IPs...and NO marketing, so they fail. MS's method is working the best, thus far.

Don't like the music? MS mandated ALL games support custom soundtracks, way back in 2001. I'm sorry Sony hasn't caught on yet...they tend to lag behind on simple things.

And the VATS is OP-TION-AL...you can play the ENTIRE GAME without using it.

Will_Smith5532d ago

all Bevis said is that The Pitt looks great and that he only wished that Fallout 3 was more action oriented (which i thought it was too)

but look how f***ing pathetic you look, mentioning exclusive DLC, Marketing, and Costume music which HE DID NOT even mention, you sound like a worried fanboy

i like how you actually believe that

Exclusive DLC > New IP's

i rather have new games to play then have to pay more for 3 hours of gameplay, and thats why Sony is doing everything right this gen, they are about 7 million consoles behind so if u pray at night that they go under this gen then find a new religion because it aint happening.

ToastyMcNibbles5532d ago (Edited 5532d ago )

okay i have to bite too...what did that have to do with anything beavis4play said? exclusive dlc and marketing is a better method vs exclusive ip and no marketing? maybe the marketing part i can agree with if i was a sony or microsoft employee but get real dude...you think me as a gamer gives a sh!t if sony advertises their games? hell no as long as im getting brand new exclusive games im happy...i'll pick brand new games over exclusive dlc for old games any day of the week! i do agree though i think its bs that people who prefer the ps3 version of fallout 3 get shafted on dlc because microsoft was throwing around checks but for me personally i can give 2 sh!ts about it...would i buy it if it was on ps3? of course but come on now get real

beavis4play5532d ago

and what a waste of 30 seconds that was.
i wasn't making any "lame excuses" for anything. "the pitt" looks awesome! and no, i'm not holding out for the dlc. LEARN TO READ!!
as to the rest of what you said: it's crap. i don't even know how you made the assumptions you made but, YOU'RE WRONG ABOUT EVERYTHING.

That dank, dark scumhole is actually surprisingly true to how Pittburgh really looks.

ChampIDC5532d ago

I was born in Pittsburgh, though I've moved away since. I'm going to enjoy causing destruction in my old hometown scumhole!

10 Expansions That Are Better Than The Main Game

NoobFeed Editor Joshua Burt writes - It is now a mainstay of gaming that post a title's release, and DLC will accompany the game. Some of the most popular games of the last fifteen years have followed this practice. But there are some DLCs that are better than others. That stands on the shoulders of their base game, and in some cases… Surpass it. These are the 10 expansions that were better than the main game.

Damn, I feel stupid when years ago I played all the dlc for fallout 3 except the pitt. My younger ass looked at it and thought it was boring without trying I believe... Well good reason to fire up the old dusty ps3!

PhillyDillyDee685d ago

Bethesda usually does great DLC. Makes sense they are on the list 3 times.

generic-user-name685d ago

Solid list, I'd add inFamous: Festival of Blood, although it was a standalone download, it still felt like an inFamous 2 expansion.

Blood and Wine might be the best ever though.

SullysCigar685d ago

I'd also add in Horizon The Frozen Wilds. As I started it, I wasn't sure I had the energy, but my God that was awesome. Some of the best weapons, enemies and missions in Horizon for sure.

RaidenBlack684d ago

Blood and Wine is always the reason these "best DLC of all time" list gets made in the first place nowadays.
Don't think CDPR can come any where near with any upcoming CP2077 DLC.

Silly Mammo685d ago

I have beaten Bloodborne but though i have the DLC I never played through it. For now I want to wait and see if it gets a Bluepoint remake.

anast685d ago

It's the best DLC in the genre. You are missing out.

SarwarRon685d ago

I double that. If you've liked Bloodborne, don't miss out The Old Hunters.

684d ago
MadLad684d ago

I skipped on Demons Souls remake, but Bloodborne would be day one. I love the game, but it is very, very jaggy and really needs a 60fps edition.

anast685d ago

I didn't like Blood and Wine too much, but the grandmaster gear is worth it.

I never thought of it like that.. Fallout 3 is still my best game ever,so wanting Fallout 4.

Omnisonne3523d ago

Personally I learned alot from Fallout, especially New Vegas' DLC

There are alot of hidden teachings and different perspectives in those games

Matt6663522d ago

Oh yea its fine considering on Fallout you don't have to pay for the following;

mortgage,
water bills,
gas bills,
electric bills,

I wouldn't really say it taught me to move out, but I would say it has taught me other stuff like how to barter etc
