Actually I am in my 20's and have gone back and played many of the Sonic games made, personally I find a lot of the older games to be absolutely awful with a particular nod to the original Sonic the Hedgehog. I know a good game when I play it and the games on my list and ones that are truly great and the pinnacle of the Sonic experience.
Well. I guess an opinion is an opinion.
But just because you can't make it through a game doesn't make it bad.

For me it would be.
1. Sonic Adventure
2. Sonic 2
3. Sonic and Knuckles
4. Sonic 3
5. Sonic the Hedgehog 1991
That's pretty much my list, only I'd put S&K and Sonic 3 at 1 and 2. And maybe drop Adventure for Sonic Chaos for GameGear/Master System, I had so much fun with that game.

Being a Sonic fan for a majority of my life, I’ve played nearly every Sonic game that’s ever existed. As such, I’ve played each game so many times that I’ve even began collecting them as of recently. Doing so, I’ve had the opportunity to play games I haven’t even looked at in several years.
I’ve never been big on the classic Sonic games, or really anything before 1999 when Sonic Adventure for the SEGA Dreamcast was released, so don’t expect to see anything before then in my list. To celebrate Sonic the Hedgehog’s 24th anniversary, here are my top 10 favorite Sonic games of all time.

While I honestly can't say I agree with the reviews methods (i.e. comparing it Sonic games from the genesis) at LEAST it seemed to cover most of the basics and made me believe that they played through the game.
I thought it was funny they mentioned chemical plant zone when talking about worlds because when they later complained about speed, I just remember that level had so many parts where you had to stop! Stop for the elevator, stop and ride the moving platform across the water stop as you hit a wall.
Lastly, the person playing the game did kind of...suck which definitely does take some experience from the game, but I suppose instant gratification is the trend now-a-days unless it's a multiplayer competitive type game.
Oh well, at least there is a negative review of this game that I can sorta respect...(but this guy really should play some of the older Sonic games, because incidentally, they are nothing like Unleashed's daytime stages).
No More Sonic Games!!! Until you can prove yourself, kill Sonic!!! Focus on MadWorld 2, SEGA!!!!, or Madworld DS.
