Sometimes an Xbox Live Arcade title comes out of nowhere, with no advanced notice, no first-look preview showings and no events to demonstrate it. In some cases, it's a pleasant surprise, such as when Peggle was announced as coming this week.
However, Peggle's release counterpart this week, Square Enix's Crystal Defenders, represents the other side of the coin. It hit XBLA this week with few details in advance, though its tie-in with the Final Fantasy series makes it an immediate buy for some gamers. Trust TeamXbox-the tie-in is pretty loose, as are the gameplay and the game's graphics. Let's just say that Crystal Defenders was first introduced last year as a mobile-phone game in Japan (as Crystal Guardians, with a more recent release under its current name on iPhone and iPod Touch), and it doesn't appear that a whole lot was done to take it to the Xbox 360 as an XBLA release.

After today’s leak, Microsoft just confirmed via Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb that a bunch of new games are going to be compatible starting today with Xbox One’s backward compatibility feature.

Thanks for the comments! Those look like some good titles. Never heard of Tentacles, but I looked it up and it looks unique. I'm anxious to play Wolfenstein: The New Order in the future. Last night I played a Xbox 360 indie title called Light's End and Dark Souls to help me sleep.
Fallout: New Vegas on PS3 right now. I actually got it at launch but only did one playthrough. Should've been more given the millions of hours put into Fallout 3.
My co-host Mark on our weekly podcast has been playing New Vegas, and we were talking about it on the show a few weeks back. Brings back some good memories.
I've been playing Fallout new vegas for the past few weeks too, although I installed a couple of mods to change it up a bit (project nevada, nevada skies,etc).
NHL 14 (PS3) and Watchdogs , Killzone SF and Strider for PS4 atm.. but i always switch when it comes to my PS4. :)
