Strategy Informer: 50 Cent: Blood on Sand Review

Blood on the Sand is possibly one of the shallowest experiences Strategy Informer has come across in a long time. While the control system is tight and the monotonous gameplay somehow manages to draw you in and ultimately provides an entertaining blast, there's no escaping the fact that the game is decidedly average drivel when all is said and done. Swordfish have made about as good a game you could ever expect given the nature of the source material, with a fair chunk of content for 50 Cent fans to lap up.

If you can stomach the ridiculous storyline and the repetitive gameplay, then Blood on the Sand may hold some appeal if you're after some undemanding, explosive action that's guaranteed to raise a wry smile.

britxbox: Podcast Expansion Pack 37

Britxbox writes: "Well, after a three week absence, the Expansion Pack is back. You can blame both Jasper (Spiiike) Kashap and Arnold (DogEyedBoy) Cook for that. Myself (Mark "Born2beSlicker" Lawson) am completely blame free, due to being perfect and right about everything. At least so I am told.

Thankfully, not many things happened in terms of big games. So we got to delve into the games we missed due to the unexpected leave of absence. Keep in mind, we recorded the day before ODST. So there is no Halo talk. Come back next week for an ODST special.

This week we discuss:

Batman: Arkham Asylum
Guitar Hero 5
50 Cent: Blood in the Sand (and how awesome it actually is)
Left 4 Dead 2 banned in Australia
Street Fighter 4 sequel?
Shadow Complex cheaters getting pwned by Microsoft
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 special edition 250GB Xbox 360 console

We should be back to our regularly scheduled programming now. We (Spiiike and Dogeyed) apologise for the lack of content. Tune in next week however for a chance to win...well something Halo related."

MT: 50 Cent Blood on the Sand Review

MT:

"Who is Blood on the Sand for? It's not enough to be a fan of shooters, much less a fan of 50 Cent. It's not even enough to be a fan of shooters and 50 Cent. Instead, you have to be a fan of shooters, 50 Cent, games that aren't very good, and games that only marginally have anything whatsoever to with 50 Cent beyond spending a lot of time staring at the back of his head and occasionally listening to his voice. If that describes you, Blood in the Sand is your kind of game. However, while I played through this pap and let my mind wander, wondering how much longer it was going to go on, I couldn't help but think that even you deserve better."

Wait till this gets put on sale, which it will in a few weeks time, to buy, or rent for a weekend jaunt into. If you do the latter, try and find two copies and play with a friend, it'll be exponentially more entertaining.
