Kotaku: 50 Cent: Blood On The Sand Review

Kotaku writes: "Rapper 50 Cent and his G-Unit sidekicks have returned, ready to shoot scores of generic Middle Easterners in 50 Cent: Blood On The Sand. The ultimate goal? Get Fiddy's paycheck, a diamond-encrusted skull.

Obviously, the real motivation behind the game is to give 50 Cent an opportunity to make amends for the generally miserable last-generation effort 50 Cent: Bulletproof, making some real world dollars with publisher THQ and developer Swordfish Studios along the way. But the fictional account of Fiddy's Middle East adventures sees the rapper gunning down soldiers, mercenaries and warlords who get between him and the guaranteed $10 million payment he was promised. No masked man nor garage door shutter on this Earth can stop 50 Cent and the G-Unit partner of your choice".

britxbox: Podcast Expansion Pack 37

Britxbox writes: "Well, after a three week absence, the Expansion Pack is back. You can blame both Jasper (Spiiike) Kashap and Arnold (DogEyedBoy) Cook for that. Myself (Mark "Born2beSlicker" Lawson) am completely blame free, due to being perfect and right about everything. At least so I am told.

Thankfully, not many things happened in terms of big games. So we got to delve into the games we missed due to the unexpected leave of absence. Keep in mind, we recorded the day before ODST. So there is no Halo talk. Come back next week for an ODST special.

This week we discuss:

Batman: Arkham Asylum
Guitar Hero 5
50 Cent: Blood in the Sand (and how awesome it actually is)
Left 4 Dead 2 banned in Australia
Street Fighter 4 sequel?
Shadow Complex cheaters getting pwned by Microsoft
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 special edition 250GB Xbox 360 console

We should be back to our regularly scheduled programming now. We (Spiiike and Dogeyed) apologise for the lack of content. Tune in next week however for a chance to win...well something Halo related."

MT: 50 Cent Blood on the Sand Review

MT:

"Who is Blood on the Sand for? It's not enough to be a fan of shooters, much less a fan of 50 Cent. It's not even enough to be a fan of shooters and 50 Cent. Instead, you have to be a fan of shooters, 50 Cent, games that aren't very good, and games that only marginally have anything whatsoever to with 50 Cent beyond spending a lot of time staring at the back of his head and occasionally listening to his voice. If that describes you, Blood in the Sand is your kind of game. However, while I played through this pap and let my mind wander, wondering how much longer it was going to go on, I couldn't help but think that even you deserve better."
