GameDaily: Puzzle Quest: Galactrix Review

Puzzle Quest Galactrix takes place in the vast reaches of space, where a crew of brave pilots and robots face vicious aliens throughout the galaxy. Like the first Puzzle Quest, Galactrix leans heavily on role-playing elements, as you earn special attacks and inflict damage to enemies by moving pieces on a board. Gameplay is a cross between gem games like Bejeweled and Hexic, and works a little differently than in the original, but it still plays wonderfully. It's even more fun against a friend in two-player mode, even though you both need a copy of the game. With detailed maps and comic book-style characters, graphically it's a beautiful looking game. Some of the in-game events are tedious, like unlocking Leapgates or tracking down an enemy who is faster than you are, but Galactrix is still out of this world.
