Kart Racer and Truck Racer were developed by racing specialist game developer Brain in a Jar. Working out of Oulton Park Race Circuit they are responsible for over twenty racing games in the last ten years.
Lundborg concludes, "Our intention is to deliver a set of entertaining products at the right price point, and we've found that both Kart and Truck Racer play especially well with steering wheel accessories so we expect the games will be sold as high value-for-money bundles when they arrive in the stores."
Kart racers are some of the most fun you can have on four wheels. Typically based around intense multiplayer battles and featuring a colourful collections of characters (who often have unique abilities and different stats) they represent fantastic fun for the vast majority of gamers and always go down well in multiplayer sessions.
So Mario Kart, Mario Kart and Diddy Kong Racing basically. Not a lot of thought lol. What about Crash Team Racing, ModNation, Street Racer and Sonic All Stars.
Carl Williams writes, "There was a time when kart racing games were a dime a dozen. This was around the 32-Bit era when it seemed everyone had to have a kart racer. Much like the 8-bit and 16-bit days of action platformers, kart racers eventually fell to the wayside. Coffin Dodgers is looking to bring back this once prominent genre. What is different about this kart racer is that it is not taking itself seriously at all. Apparently, you are racing for your soul- quite a dark premise for such a cartoony game. This life or death, literally, transaction is handled via pimped up powered wheel chairs affectionately called scooters."
Horrible Night: "Truck Racer has a serious identity crisis that gets in the way of true truck potential. It’s a damn shame. Nothing more. But true truckers will find a way to make the best of these trucks."
