GoGamingGiant writes: "Wow. Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games in a long time, and the new DLC doesn't disappoint. The whole premise of this new content is that you're in a computer simulation. The government created this simulation to train soldiers for Chinese invasion. It takes place in 2066, and the Chinese have invaded Anchorage, Alaska.
It is your task to take out the enemy troops and reclaim your territory. Being in the winter land of Alaska, it has a type of scenery previously unseen in the game, and they manage to pull it off extremely well. What really holds it all together is the "simulation" aspect. It's like you're playing a computer game within a computer game, and they appropriate for such. Instead of being able to pick up any weapons the enemy drops, you can only pick up specific drops, highlighted in red. Instead of Stimpacks, there are health dispensers to instantly heal you spread around the area, as well as ammo dispensers to replenish your ammo stock."
Acclaimed add-ons for Bethesda classics Oblivion and Fallout 3 have become available at bargain bin prices on Xbox Live.
Dang, got excited there for a second. Then I realized that I've already played through all the FO3 add-ons, I just bought the Oblivion GOTY edition yesterday, and Dawnguard last week.
Bethesda announced today via the Bethblog that all Fallout 3 and New Vegas content packs would be going on sale for PS3 users from May 16 through May 30th. Both Fallout 3 and New Vegas add-ons will be discounted, unfortunately this deal is only for the European PlayStation Network.
I remembered Europe already had a discount on Fallout dlc shortly after ps plus started. I would've purchased all the dlc and get 100% of the trophies. Too bad.
