Speculation & Theories: Rock Band Unplugged

The Portable Gamer writes:

"Let's get a few pieces of information that have been confirmed out of the way: It does exist, and will be released for PSP. It will contain an in-game Music Store, which means that the PSP's downloadable options just got that much sweeter.

Now with that out of the way, I'll try to tackle a few questions; questions like "How will this work? Will it have peripherals? Is Harmonix at the helm?" Get ready for the fun part: speculation."

That's insane! I can't wait to see how that works

roblef5547d ago

I will OWN. THIS. GAME. So excited. Hilarious pictures in this article!

CrAppleton5547d ago

WTF is up with that dude playing? LMAO

roblef5547d ago

Isn't that Gabe? AHAHAHAHAHA.

roblef5547d ago

Killer feature: the ability to pull my characters from RB2 360 over to the PSP. Not. Gonna. Happen. I bet.

Still, sweet way to play!

CrAppleton5547d ago

Yeah.. it's still gonna be pretty sweet

supercharger51505547d ago

I'm not sure if I see the appeal of the Rock band without being able to play the guitar or drums or my fave- singing. I think someone would look totally nuts just singing into their PSP. lol

Not trying to be a downer but doesn't this just make the PSP an interactive iPod of sorts?

Johnny Rotten5547d ago (Edited 5547d ago )

the interactive i-pod was already done a year ago when Beats came out. It's a small $5.00 rhythm game that lets you play any songs that are stored on your memory stick.

SmokingMonkey5547d ago

that plays 2 gta games portably...in 3d mind you, no bull top down view......i'm looking at you DS/chinatown wars

oh and if you like portable music/rhythm games then play Patapon or Lumines

The Daily Five: Best Bathroom Games

"We’re all on the can at least once a day, and it’s always a short escape from the rigors of our day-to-day lives. Time spent on the porcelain throne varies on the person, but if you own a portable game system then there’s a good chance that you’ve brought them with you on many occasions." - Joe Garcia

SBG | The 10 best PSP games to own forever

SBG: "The Best to Own Forever series isn’t about what’s great right now. It’s about what will be great in 10 years, even though there will be better-looking games and later sequels, and what will keep you pulling that dusty old console out of the closet every once in a while. In this installment, we look at the PlayStation Portable."

Good list. Wanting to get Corpse Party on my Vita.

Though I would add Monster Hunter Freedom 2 (if you can read Japanese, then portable 3'rd) and Phantasy Star Portable 2, which had a very entertaining story behind it.

I loved my PSP, but when I got my Vita I gave it to a friend who loves JRPG's but never had the money for one.

gaffyh4302d ago

The lack of Jeanne D'Arc on this list is disturbing. That is the best PSP game I've ever played.

TheFirstClassic4302d ago

The lack of peace walker is disturbing. That is one of the best games I have ever played period. Kind of a mediocre list imo.

tachy0n4303d ago

gran turismo psp should be there since it took almost forever to be released!

and also midnight club 3 DUB edition since its a full PS2 game in the PSP!

Krimmson4302d ago

While it's by no means an amazing game, people should play Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble. It's the closest thing to a 3D River City Ransom you're going to get.

And besides, who doesn't want to have an eye-laser showdown with a Japanese punkass schoolboy?

Havent been able to get into corpse party. I dont like it too much.

Games That (Probably) Shouldn't Have Gone Portable (Modojo)

Chris Buffa (Modojo): For the most part, video game publishers know what works and what doesn't on a portable system. Terrible games are a part of life, but it's rare to see a bad fit. At the end of the day, companies know a handheld's limitations.

Hitman07694756d ago

I love portable games but some of these make sense I think. Rock Band Unplugged? Shakes head...

Buff10444756d ago

Yeah...they tried to capitalize on the series' popularity by porting it to every possible system. Such is the industry. :)
