50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is certain to settle the debate over whether or not games are art. But the debate over whether or not you should play this game is going to rage on through the rest of the year. Blood on the Sand isn't broken, but it is at times unimaginative. If Gears of War 2's mantra was "Bigger, badder, more bad ass," then BOTS's should have been "Fiddy, Fiddier, more fiddier." Instead it's just one five-hour "Fiddy." There's no mistaking that this is a fun game to play -- particularly with a buddy -- but it's in no way excellent.

"Who is Blood on the Sand for? It's not enough to be a fan of shooters, much less a fan of 50 Cent. It's not even enough to be a fan of shooters and 50 Cent. Instead, you have to be a fan of shooters, 50 Cent, games that aren't very good, and games that only marginally have anything whatsoever to with 50 Cent beyond spending a lot of time staring at the back of his head and occasionally listening to his voice. If that describes you, Blood in the Sand is your kind of game. However, while I played through this pap and let my mind wander, wondering how much longer it was going to go on, I couldn't help but think that even you deserve better."
Wait till this gets put on sale, which it will in a few weeks time, to buy, or rent for a weekend jaunt into. If you do the latter, try and find two copies and play with a friend, it'll be exponentially more entertaining.

Is like this game getting a 10.5. Reviewers usually salivate with hate ready to pounce on games like this just for the fun of it. In fact I remember the first games reviews being borderline racist with ignorance of the hip hop genre. Even IGN saying that 50 is 'Fiddy is famous for his music and for selling colored water to white people' is crazy suspect. At least they got the point that the game is just trying to be fun. I'm definately picking it up this week.
