Good game, good score, good god I want to play it. Pretty cool that they used the PS3 version for the review. It's funny to see the "You did not earn a trophy" comment pop up.

All joking aside, this is a good score. It's the same score that they gave Killzone 2, and both games are of equal caliber. Good job, Capcom!

Now since they made Street Fighter IV with perfection they need to get a Marvel Vs Capcom 3 going!!

I don't know which version i'm getting, it really doesn't matter with me because i'm getting the madcatz SF4 controller for sure.

I just paid for Super Street Fighter II HD Remix the other day on PSN. Though I agree the 360 dpad sucks a$$. The PS3 dpad isnt much better. They both give me arthritis in the thumb real quick.

I am kind of torn as to which console to get SFIV for. Either way I will have to pony up some cash for an Hori arcade stick. Any ideas on which console will have the better version?

PimpDaddy just get the madcatz controller if you can, everyone says it is awesome and it's perfect it was made for street fighter. Then just get the version on what system you prefer... like reapersson said.

It's not that simple. I have friends on both PSN and XBL. Though I prefer XBL for finding friends and playing games, I am still waiting for my 360 to return from it's RROD grave. Lately I have been buying more games on the PS3. I just want to know if one version is superior to the other. That will probably make my decision. Or I guess I could get the game for both. I love me some SF that much. I mean I even bought SF Alpha for PSN. Can never get enough SF. Decisions. Decisions.

I haven't heard one way or the other which one is "superior", and I'm pretty sure that a game like this runs flawlessly on both systems. Really, if you are waiting for your 360 to get repaired, I'd say go ahead and get it for the PS3. I'm getting it for my PS3, and maybe we could spar a couple rounds? My PSN name is in my N4G profile.

I don't think it will sell more. Killzone 2 is probably the most hyped PS Sony exclusive yet. However, what it is doing is scoring much higher than KZ, with a Metacritic Average of 95. Mighty impressive.

If you plan on getting the Collector Edition, I will have to recommend getting the PS3 version, due to the fact that the extra video on the PS3 version is Blu-ray instead of DVD, but if you are not getting the CE then I don't know.

I bought the one they had for display and all I can say is...
MY THUMB HURTS!!It takes a little getting used to but when you learn the ultra moves the fun factor is multiplied 10 fold!!

I havent been interested in fighting games since the Era Street Fighter 2 was in. SO long ago. Now because of this I might just pick it up.

I'm sure we're not the only ones thinking this too, the game just looks impressive on so many levels.

I especially like that you see the rank of the person you play online.

I've been playing Street Fighter Alpha 3 recently. I'm gutted that my reactions aren't the same anymore. I used to be able to pull of some decent combos but half the time now I have problems just doing a charge super (Guile's Somersault Strike for example).

I blame the controller.

it came early here in australia i got on tuesday as there was one copy of collectors left at my local eb and i have the ps3 collectors and playing the game on my 1080p tv its awsome game which is the game to own of 2009

i liked tekken 5 on PSN, didnt like soul calibur, now Street Fighter? i actually want to buy it, looks like alot of fun ...

if i get it i'll get it on ps3 for the pad. you can get different controllers that i'm sure improve the experience but i'm not a big fighting fan anyway + if i was playing this with my mates it wouldn't be much fun if i only had 1 of the madcatz controllers and whoever they we'er fighting had to use a 360 pad :p

I dunno why they don't just make all future pads with better d-pads tbh or is it some patent thing. I remember the original xbox controller and how much of a jump it was when they made it smaller. They even had that 360 pad with better d-pad actually around pro evo's release but it was limited edition!! why make a better pad limited edition??

anyway gone completely off there haha. not a day 1 purchase because i've got 2 many other games going but may pick this up in the summer if its as good as people say

The d-pad designs Sony and Nintendo use are copywrite, I believe.

Nintendo have the cross shape.
Sony have a similar version, but only the "directions" are visible rather than the whole cross.

Microsoft were essentially left with a remnant of the old Sega controllers, but messed it up a lot more.

i played it at a mates house at the weekend on his 360 and it was awesome. the sound track was good and the graphics were emersive even on his 32" 720p screen instead of my 40" 1080p. the final boss is hard even on easy so i can see even the single player taking some time master. I'm going to buy it on the ps3, i have a 360 i'm just miffed off with it erroring at random times and i also prefer the psn pricing structure.

prepare to be disapointed!!!. I just bougth the 360 version and yes the DPAD SUCKS!!. Also I believe that this game is highly overrated as the graphics doesnt look that good and the characters movement are really SLOW. I have seen everybody praising it and dont get me wrong the game is good but not the clasic SF I was expecting. From the cheesy music in the intro to the control and sometimes bad graphics...come on guys look at poor BLANKA!!! this game is overrated an 8.5 IMO.

I also like the graphics, fast and clean like in SSF2 Turbo HD!!. Its just a matter of opinion I believe but I wasnt that impresed. Also I believe that SF3 3rd strike is the best SF game available so I would be more than pleased if CAPCOM relese an HD version for download on the PSN or XBOX LIVE!

Street Fighter 3rd Strike was bada$$, the best looking sprites i've EVER seen in any game! I must admit the character designs take some getting used to, but that's because we're used to seeing them in sprites instead of 'fleshed-out' like in SF4.

I think some of the fighters are a little too beefy, but other than that it ROCKS!
