Over the Top Games announced today that Steven Gutheinz has created the original musical score for their highly anticipated Wii videogame, Icarian: Kindred Spirits. Gutheinz, a promising young composer, has being hailed to be at the forefront of the new generation of film composers. He has created numerous scores for films, television, and new media. His music fills all the score of Icarian: Kindred Spirits with delightful melodies that give the game a unique atmosphere.
At the same time the Over the Top Games team posted new screenshots that show a bit more of this promising game. They have sent word that they expect to release a gameplay trailer very soon.

Spanish independent developer Over The Top has had to change the name of its WiiWare platformer, Icarian: Kindred Spirits, which was released in Europe last Friday, to NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits.
The four-strong developer has had to change its website, including domain and design, and reissue the self-published game, which we reviewed very favourably yesterday.

Which videogame company would ask a little developer to change Icarian to NyxQuest? Does it have something to do with... Kid Icarus, maybe?

There are also a number of different companies in various industries that use that name or similar. Originally being a religious word you usually can't trade mark that kind of stuff in any way in most countries. So I am wondering how they infringed on any body.
