This game is only coming out on the 360? And will the macho man randy savage and the ultimate warrior be added? What about Ted Dibeose?

It's coming out for both systems...

still play these types of game.. just curious

King_many_layers5557d ago

yup, WWE games seem to sell millions still.

They really need to get a huge overhaul these games though, I played the demo for the last smackdown and just hated it, I used to really like them.. but now I see ow bad they generaly are, as they strive to be more realistic they just get worse controls and everything is badly ageing fast (IMO)

wwf games back on the n64.. i just lost interested in the whole wrestling thing

Not as many as they used to play it. Back in the PS2 era when Smackdown games were exclusive to PS2 the games were amazingly well done and they always had some factor pushing them onto charts as high selling games.

Now though since they went multiplatform with the Smackdown vs. Raw series and have gotten worse and worse ever since. They have reported a loss this year due to SVR 2009 not selling so well. I don't see how it sold at all really. Game is nothing near perfection or fun to play. It gets boring after 5 minutes. Now with no Legends in the game and DLC. $5 for 4 wrestlers.

This game does one thing different than the SVR series though. Whole gameplay is changed and it looks like a new game engine.

i agree with king_many_layers. i hadn't played a wrestling game since the end of the 90's and i've got to say the controls are F'ed up. the graphics are better of course and you get more types of games but he controls are to linear and all the moves look poorly animated when transitioning from one move to another

As great as this game looks, as impressive as this roster is. Dark Sniper still feels that no 'rasslin game this generation or for the next few generations to come will ever surpass WWF No Mercy.

Ultimate Warrior’s Greatest Video Games

Christopher Buffa (Prima Games): News of Ultimate Warrior Jim Hellwig’s death left millions of wrestling fans, including myself, in shock. I never knew the man, but I loved the character. His electric entrance, running to the ring full blast and shaking the ropes, was adrenaline personified, while the outfit (multicolored face paint, neon tassels, different colored straps for his title belts) embodied the 90s. Critics often remark that his promos were illogical, but to kids, they made perfect sense. Fill the spaceship with rocket fuel? Trampled by elephants? Might as well be Shakespeare to a nine-year-old.
