Gamezine's Patrick Steen: 'Some developers spend hours making the controls for their games perfect, but in the FPS genre it's just best to leave the minutia to the consumer.
I mean, don't you hate it when you can't even reassign some of the buttons to your preferred configuration? Well, High Voltage have listened to the hardcore and created the most customisable FPS experience ever.
At least on consoles. The funny thing is, this hardcore FPS shooter is exclusive to the Wii. It took me a little time to get to grips with the controls, but from the first shot it was obvious that this was an exclusive Wii shooter.
Apart from the amazing visuals (for a Wii title) The Conduit, developed by High Voltage, features the most customisable control experience I've ever laid my fingers on.'
There’s a consensus about Splatoon 1 that cannot be disputed: motion controls are the way to play. The Wii U Gamepad had its many problems on the system as a whole, but along with the way in which the touch screen was implemented in the first game like I mentioned in my last piece, using the Gamepad’s gyroscope was deemed a superior way to play compared to traditional joystick control.
Rustyshell.com: The Conduit strived to be the quality FPS experience Wii owners were missing out on, with quality graphics and a robust online multiplayer component.
Hardcore Gamer: The Conduit was an interesting first-person shooter that sneaked its way onto the Wii amid a deluge of shovelware and "family" games.
Aren't there only like 6 buttons on the Wii controllers? I couldn't imagine trying to play a FPS on the Wii.
Control best on the Wii. I take it you've never played a shooter game on the system. it is so much more intuitive and responsive than dual analogue. It shows just how imprecise and passe those control schemes have become.
Having played the Conduit at the Comic-Con, I can honestly say the controls in this game are impecable and customizable to a T. The controls sold me on the game.
the wiimote is the controller and the gun itself. most of us are moving on from mashing buttons , its call the future. you know motion control, touch screen. thats probably a little too much for you right. im sure youll mention hey i can kiss people on hdtv.
About time someone gets it right.I have been waiting for a true FPS on the Wii since the Wiimotes were announced
The most CUSTOMIZABLE controls.....
