First Beatles Game Details

Did Paul McCartney just pull back the curtain on the upcoming Beatles music game under development by Rock Band impresarios Harmonix? In the newest issue of Entertainment Weekly, the legendary musician revealed that the Beatles game will follow the exploits of the Fab Four over their storied careers.

According to McCartney, "It will feature different periods of the band -- you get early days, Liverpool, then psychedelic, and on from there. It's very cool. And I like the idea that the game introduces kids to music, you know?"

This idea sounds just as stupid as "Yellow Submarine" sounds.

Teek_155562d ago

this sounds pretty awesome, if they can make it right. I thought they should do something like this when rock band first came out..

MerkinMax5562d ago

I am sorry that you have not been introduced to good music yet. When you reach adolescence look into it.

make George & Ringo really kick ass. An online deathmatch mode is always a plus, as well.

I have been waiting for this game forever.

Harmonix really took their time. Sargent Pepper era ftw.

Man. Its going to be dope playing Helter Skelter.

to make a Beatles game, they will over throw GH as the number one music game. I know for one I would buy RB just for this. The Beatles have such great songs, CD's like Revolver or SGT. Pepper, classic. Would all be great to play with no actual musical talent.

How Harmonix sparked the DLC revolution with ‘Rock Band’

VGW's Brian Shea: "The notion of downloadable content is commonplace in today’s landscape of launch-day DLC and season passes, but prior to 2007, to have a legitimate, laid-out plan to support a console game post-launch was not a common occurrence. Harmonix, a company that was in the midst of a transition away from the most popular franchise in the industry at the time, Guitar Hero, had a vision for a brand new IP that would eventually revolutionize the concept of downloadable content."

i know smokin a little something here an there goes good with journey.

Hicken4386d ago

Journey kinda makes you wanna smoke, methinks. Well, for those open-minded individuals who don't just condemn the act, like myself, I can see Journey turning a person's view introspective, and a certain drug allowing for some rather insightful revelations.

(For the record, I've smoked three cigarettes- I was drunk- and one cigar in all my life.)

NastyLeftHook04386d ago

cool, journey is a great game for that, and mary jane lobes it too.

bubwright4386d ago

playing games drunk is the worst thing ever, reactions are to slow and falling asleep and leaving your console on all night! wake up with 5000 messages, take away food all around you and feeling like poop looking at your online stats wondering how bad you played :( bad times

Baka-akaB4386d ago

I'd mostly only bother with music and sports games , the rest not at all , besides indeed buzz

bacrec14386d ago

Well I agree with this list. Add bomberman to it though.
