To date, there have been three Gobliiins titles about the three rather strange main characters, as well as two spin-off games featuring the characters Woodruff and Schnibble. The return of Gobliiins brings a new range of exciting adventures!
Nostalgia is a wonderful thing, but you're supposed to look at what's come before and learn from it. By filling Gobliiins 4 with antiquated visual and gameplay characteristics, Societe Pollene seems to have forgotten that old saying about the dangers of ignoring the past. The game is a frustrating throwback to days long gone. And sometime soon, it'll be found where all old and forgotten games end up - in the bargain bin.
Still, for all the frustration of the puzzles and the simplicity of the story, Gobliiins 4 offers some genuine charm and enjoyment. It is a shame that the developer has chosen to increase the longevity of the game by simply populating the later levels with puzzles that are hard as nails, often to the point of obscurity. Fans of the series may want to check this game out. Sadly, for other adventure game fans, a recommendation cannot be offered with a clear conscience.
Snowberry Connection has announced the release of a bonus edition for the latest installment in the classic puzzle adventure series Gobliiins.
Labled the Gobliiins 4 Bonus Pack, the bundle adds the first three games of the series to the recently released title at no extra charge.
Awesome ! I've only played Gobliiins 2 (i think, the one where you begin on a flying boat) but it was really fun and it reconciled me with the adventure / reflexion genre.
