SHMUP collection R-Type Dimensions, containing R-Type 1 and R-Type 2 in HD + extras opens up with a strong 3-day week. Unit wise, it performed very similar to fellow shmup's Ikaruga, Rez HD and Galaga Legions. What made R-Type perform very well, however, is the price. It was $5 USD higher than any other one of 2008's big shmups. Led by high conversion rates in Japan (who'd of thought?), expect this one to see massive drops in the near future.

I agree with them that the tv show was a bit on the clean side. They got loads right regarding set design etc but there's room for improvement.
