If it's anything like Odin Sphere, it will have plot and characterization to match.

Officially on the radar. I think my Wii-hate is pretty much burned out at this point. It may not have HD games, but at least it has some interesting titles in the pipeline.

If they announce a localization of Arc Rise Fantasia (which they will, probably), I'll purchase a Wii for sure. (In all fairness, I really should have the third member of this generations triumvirate anyhow.)

Seriously they need to start doing more games in this fashion.2D can be gorgeous and this game proves that.Sonic Team you hear me?

Arc Rise Fantasia will be localized you watch.

mastiffchild5564d ago

Cannot argue with you at all fellas. Exactly the kind of thing Wii third party devs should be doing(and from the makers of OS you knew it'd be just beautiful)while also giving everyone what the Wii can do REALLY well.
Looks really cool.
Agree about ARF as well.

IdleLeeSiuLung5564d ago

This game looks amazing indeed, but sadly it is the only title I'm looking forward to on the Wii.

Mahr5564d ago

I'm a little confused by the comments about Arc Rise Fantasia being localized. As far as I'm aware, they've already announced that it's going to be released in North America. Am I misinterpreting what you guys mean by localization?

Sam Fisher5564d ago

why on the wii? it doesnt even look like a console game. when i frst saw this i thought it was going to be a psp game, not a wii game. i even see this more as a ds game too, developers make good games but stupid decisions for the games.

ChickeyCantor5563d ago

Sam,
That was one retarded comment.

The artistic value comes more to light if they can add more detail to it.

Wii is a perfect match.
While the Ps3 and 360 are more the image of 3D games in HD.
Wii has the Retro feel of it. What they did was taking the old standards and make it into a higher definition.

Wii needs more games like this, they are just awesome.

Nintenderos: "We kick off our interviews this year with a very special one with George Kamitani, president of Vanillaware. In case you didn't know this study, it is the one behind games of the stature of Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Odin Sphere or Dragon's Crown. In addition to, of course, unforgettable titles like the wonderful 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim published by Atlus a few months ago."

I enjoy when games are treated as art.

Hitman should go in there. That Japanese level is something to behold.

Japanese games can help bring myths to life

How do you introduce people to folklore and fairy tales? Introducing people to mythology can be easy when they are young or in school, as such stories can sometimes be used to teach morals, introduce concepts that might be difficult for people to otherwise understand, act as warnings and get imaginations working. Once folks get older, it can be more difficult to get them engaged and interested in legends. Fortunately, some Japanese video games can step in to bridge the gap.
