IGN: Bratz: Girlz Really Rock Review

Bratz: Girlz Really Rock! isn't the worst release the brand has seen. On the contrary, this is an effort that, while ultimately still remaining a mediocre product, showed some signs of moving the franchise in the right direction with its admittedly decent fashion-focused elements. So if the Bratz brand does manage to somehow live on after the lawsuit loss to Mattel's Barbie, there could be some elements here for a sequel to build on. And, if Bratz is truly done, it at least leaves the stage with a glimpse of the potential for the good game that might have happened in some alternate future.

WorthPlaying: Bratz Girlz Really Rock Review

WorthPlaying writes: "Very few video games for children turn out to be enjoyable pieces of work, and the possibility of a game being good decreases when it's based on a popular license. When that licensed game is specifically intended for girls, the possibility decreases even further. This doesn't stop developers from trying, though, since there is certainly a market for the products. To that end, THQ and Blitz Games have created Bratz: Girlz Really Rock, which cashes in one of the most popular brands for girls since Barbie. While the title is pretty ambitious, it isn't necessarily the best choice for a young girl who's looking for a fun video game."

AATG: Bratz: Girlz Really Rock Review

AATG:

"There, that's about as family-friendly as I can be about this one. As a dad who prays to the great gaming gods that my nipper has a lot more taste than to have anything to do with Bratz in game form or otherwise, I beg and implore all would-be purchasers of this shallow sugar-fuelled tripe to buy absolutely anything for their kid's Wii other than this."

Family Friendly Gaming Review: Bratz Girlz Really Rock

FFG writes: "Bratz Girls Really Rock on the Nintendo DS has the honor of bad timing. With the debt bubble bursting, and families crimping down on spending, a game that dwells on excessive shopping will probably not go over very well. The depth of the Bratz girls in this video game is in a word - shallow. What it comes down to for me is the target audience. I hope to answer the question - are the lessons in Bratz Girls Really Rock appropriate for young girls?"
