Gallop and Ride certainly isn't the only horse-related game for the Wii out on retail shelves, but it is one of the more fully-featured selections. Gamers interested in the genre will find a lot of depth in the admittedly overwhelming ranch management mechanics, as well as a good amount of variety in the mini-game selections. The one area that causes Gallop and Ride to stumble – and it's a big one – is the game's lackluster racing mechanics. In the end, Gallop and Ride is a horse simulation title that brings a lot of really great new ideas to the table, but fails to deliver any one particularly well.
