let's look at the other side of the coin. why did HellBlade 2 which is a short game took more than half a decade to develop? If a game is taking millions upon millions to make then expectations will grow and when those expectations fail to meet then decisions are made.
I am not defending MS here, above is just my humble opinion.
They should have stayed independent and should have never gotten involved with MICROSOFT
Everything they bought is at risk, Game Pass is NEVER going to be able to support all the development for these studios while also maintaining any kind of catalog of new games.
If it wasn't supporting itself before they bought all these studios it's obviously not going to be able to support even more.
Pretty apparent they next on the cutting block. Hellblade 2 is a week out and the only noise from XBOX marketing is akin to a fart. Not even a loud pants-ripping fart....but a shameful supressed one.
There's no way Ninja Theory stays in business after Hellblade 2.
It's a digital only release, it's been in development for over five years, and it's a Game Pass Day One, which means it's not going to blow any sales charts apart. That's already taking into account that Ninja Theory don't make games that sell multiple millions, they cater to a niche audience.
Ninja Theory has been around for a very long time and they've served their audience well, DmC aside, but I'm betting on them closing or being absorbed soon.
The real war is between Sony and MS
I say war but its basically just like a guy beating a dead dog with a stick at this point... The guy being MS and the dog being Sony... Although thats just MY opinion on things!

A lot of the fanboys comes from the fact that most people don't want to purchase more than one console to enjoy all the good games. Not to mention consoles nowadays are not cheap atm, and after spending a lot of money on your console of choice no one wants to hear they made the wrong decision. I am very much a Xbox fan atm. Even though i was very much a sony fan the last 2 generations of consoles, but this generation i felt there was just to much to miss on the 360 not to get one..
Now of course more and more good games have came and are continuing to come on the PS3. KZ2 makes me want to buy a Playstation, but after investing in a 360 i don't care to spend $400.00 on a PS3 for ONE game i really want and a blueray player. Not saying PS3 doesn't have any good games, because i know that statement is false. LBP/MGS4 and Uncharted are good games too just nothing IMHO that i must have atm.
Another reason it is so hard for me to want to purchase a PS3 right now is all the great multiplatform games out.. I mean why should i fork out $500.00 for KZ2 when i can just get Fear2/Halo Wars/RE5 and SF4 to hold me over till the PS3 drops its price? Not to mention the 4 games i am currently still playing(L4D/GeoW2 for multiplayer and Fallout3/PoP for singleplayer). And i know sony fans are having the same problems if they wanted to play 360 games. The 360 might be cheaper on its starting price, but we all know after buying 3 more controllers/battery chargers/online service and such no console is CHEAP.
